ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING THAT THAT PORTION OF BYERS AVENUE
FROM THE EAST LINE OF MONTGOMY STREET TO T9E WEST LINE
OF GZWT' STREET AND THAT PORTION OF GINDT" STREET FROM
THE SOUTH LINE OF BYERS AVENUE TO THE SOUTH LINE OF BRYCE
AVENUE BE VACATED, ABANDONED AND CLOSED; PROVIDING FOR
THE REVERSION OF THE FEE IN SAID LAND; REPEALING ALL ORDI-
NANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING THAT THIS ORDI-
NANCE SHALL BECOME EFFECTIVE DOMIATELY..
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
That the following described portions of streets be and the same are
hereby closed, abandoned and permanently vacated as streets or public
thoroughfares of any kind or character whatever:
Byers Avenue from the east line of Montgomery Street
to the west line of Geed7-, Street; and
Gendy:, Street from the south line of Byers Avenue to
the south line of Bryce Avenue.
SECTION 2.
That the fee to the land in said streets is hereby released and will
revert to the adjacent owners as provided by law, save and except that ease-
ments are retained for all existing utilities and for a drainage ditch on
Byers Avenue; and it is specifically understood and agreed that prior to any
permanent structure ever being placed over the sanitary sewer line or lines,
the owner or owners shall, at his or their own expense, either reroute or re-
place such line or lines with cast iron pipe.
SECTION 3.
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are
hereby repealed.
SECTIONS 4.
That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect
from and after the date of its passage.
