AN ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING, AND CLOSING
THE 1300 BLOCK OF OAK GROVE STREET FROM A POINT
28 FEET SOUTH OF THE SOUTH RIGHT-OF-WAY LINE OF
THE EAST/WEST ALLEY IN BLOCK 1, RYAN & BERGIN
SUBDTVISION SOUTH TO THE NORTH PROPERTY LINE OF
LOT 1, BLOCK Q-R, THE 1300 BLOCK OF GALVESTON
AVENUE FROM A POINT 28 FEET SOUTH OF THE SOUTH
RIGHT-OF-WAY LINE OF THE EAST/WEST ALLEY IN BLOCK
1, RYAN & BERGIN SUBDIVISION, SOUTH TO THE
NORTHEAST PROPERTY LINE OF LOT 1, BLOCK 3-R OF
MOODIE EVANS SUBDIVISION OF BLOCK 21, FIELDS
WELCH ADDITION, THE 150 BLOCK OF LUCY STREET,
FROM THE EAST RIGHT-OF-WAY LINE OF GALVESTON
AVENUE TO THE WEST RIGHT-OF-WAY LINE OF OAK
GROVE STREET; PROVIDING FOR REVERSION OF FEE IN
SAID LANDS; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT
HEREWITH AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
That the below described streets be and the same are
vacated, abandoned and permanently closed for street purposes :
A. The 1300 block of Oak Grove Street from a point 28
feet south of the south right-of-way line of the east/west alley
in Block 1, Ryan & Bergin Subdivision south to the north property
line of Lot 1, Block Q-R, Rosedale Addition;
B. The 1300 block of Galveston Avenue from a point 28
feet south of the south right-of-way line of the east/west alley
in Block 1, Ryan & Bergin Subdivision, south to the northeast
property line of Lot 1, Block 3-R of Moodie Evans Subdivision of
of Block 21, Fields Welch Addition;
C. The 150 block of Lucy Street , from the east right-
of-way line of Galveston Avenue to the west right-of-way line of
Oak Grove Street .
SECTION 2.
That the fee to the lands in the above described vacated
street rights-of-way is hereby released and shall revert to the
adjacent owners as provided by law, SAVE AND EXCEPT that easements
are retained for any and all existing utilities .
SECTION 3.
That all ordinances or parts of ordinaces in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION 4.
That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force
and effect from and after the date of its passage, and it is so
ordained.

LAW-1 S.T.J. , Inc. , with the consent of all abutting property owners, has requested that
the City vacate the following streets:

1. The 1300 block of Oak Grove Street, a width of 42' from 28' south of
WATLR ADM NISTRATION4 the south right-of-way line of the east/west alley in Block 1, Ryan
and Bergin Subdivision, south to the north property line of Lot 1,
Block Q-R, Rosedale Addition;
2. The 1300 block of Galveston Avenue, a width of 50' , from 28' south of
south right-of-way line of the east/west alley in Block 1, Ryan &
Bergin Subdivision, south to the northeast property line of Lot 1,
Block 3-R of Moodie Evans Subdivision of Block 21, Fields Welch Addition;
3. The 150 block of Lucy Street, a width of 50' , from Galveston Avenue east
to' Oak Grove Street.
The subjec-L street rights-of-way, acquired by dedication, are open on the ground,
paved, in-,rse and contain telephone, gas electric, storm drainage, water and sews
utility' ilities.

The Plan Commission has reviewed this request and recommends that the subject
rights-of-way be vacated.
Recommendation
It is recommended that an ordinance be adol—te—d vacating the 1300 blocks of Oak
Grove Street and Galveston Avenue; and the 150 block of Lucy Street.
