AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION EIGHT, CHAPTER FOUR,
TITLE ELEVEN OF THE ADDENDUM TO THE REVISED
ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH PASSED
AND ACCEPTED MARCH THE 3rd, 1917, REGULATING
DANCE HALLS AND PUBLIC DANCES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COM11ISSIONERS OF THE
CITY OF FORT WORTH:
Section 8: That Section 8, Chapter 42 Title 11
of the addendum to the Revised Ordinances of the City
of Fort Worth passed and accepted March the 3rd, 1917,
be and the same is hereby amended so as to read as
follows: "It shall be unlawful to permit any person
to attend or take part in any public dance who has not
reached the age of eighteen years, and it shall be
unlawful for any person to represent him or herself to
have reached the age of eighteen years in order to
obtain admission to a public danoe hall,or to be
permitted to remain therein when such person is in
fact under eighteen years of age.
Section 8-a. Owners, operators or managers in
control of any public dance, shall plave a conspicuous
sign at each entrance to each hall or room where any
public dance is being held as follows: It is a
violation of the law for any person under eighteen
years of age to enter or remain, or be p ermitt-*d to
remain in any public dance hall where any public dance
is being held.
Section 9. This Ordinance shall be in force and
take effect from and after its passage and publication
as,-pequired by law-
