Powell, and regulating the keeping and handling of Gasoline, Benzine, Naphtha and similar volatile substances, and gun powder, and pro- hibiting the keeping or handling -of liquid nitro-glycerine within the corporate limits of the City of Fort Worth, and repealing all con- flicting ordinances, and providing penalties for the violation of this ordinance and repealing ordinance No. 20 passed June 11th, 1907. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONRES OF THE CITY Or FORT WORTH: Sec. 1. That Prom and after the passage of this ordinance no more than fift-y pounds of gun powder or dynamite or similar explos- ives taken in the aggregate shall be kept or permitted to be kept, stored or permitted to be stored upon the premises of any person, firm or corporation within the City of Fort Worth. Sec. 2. From and after the passage of this ordinance it shall be unlawful to keep, handle, store, receive or transport in or through the corporate limits of the City of Fort Worth liquid nitro-glycerine in any quantity whatsoever, and any person, firm or corporation so of- fending shall be punished, upon eoviction thereof, as hereinafter pres cribed. Sec.3. That herea ter it shall be unlawful for any person, irm or corporation to storepr keep on hand at an ne time, or in any oste buij quantity exceeding 15 gals. of Gasolihe; Benzine, Naphtha, or similar volatile liquid or substance. Said quantity shall be kept in metal cans properly sealed. Provided, however, that any quantity not exceeding 100 gals. of Gasoline, Benzine, Naphtha or similar vol- atile substances may be kept in a heavy metal tank or tanks used for that purpose, .-on the outside of any buildtng, if buried under ground or if stored in fire, proof tanks used exclusively for said puree-se. Suacnk or tanks shall not be filled, nor shall delivery be made there from, nor shall any of said substances be handled at any time by ar- tificial light, and under no circumstances after sundown of any day; provided fu�hur that the provisions of this article shall not be con- strued to prevent any person, firm or corporation from erect Ag safe land suitable buildings and tanks for the purpose of storing and dis- tributing at wholesale elf the above mentioned articles, but none such hereafter erected shall be located within 200 feet of any other buil- dings; provided fthur that the provisions of this article shall not be construed to cove the Gasoline, or Benzine contained in any Auto- nobiles or Automobiles when kept or stored in any Garage- or building used for the storage of such Automobiles or gasoline engines. Sec. 4. Any person, firm or corporation violating any pro- vision of this ordinance shall upon conviction thereof be fined in any sum not to exceed one hundred dollars and each day such substance Is kept contrary to the provisions, or any one provision, hereof, such violation shall constitute a separate offense and be punishable as such. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed and ordinance o. 20 passed June 11th, 1907. is hereby repealed. Sec. 5. This ordinance shall be in force and talo effect from and after its passage and publication as required by 'law.
