AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING THAT BARNARD STREET, ALEX-
ANDER STREET (EAST ROBERT AVENUE), COLVIN STREET
FLOYDADA STREET), AND THE ALLEYS IN BLOCK 10 AND
11, HEMPHILL HEIGHTS ADDITION, SECOND FILING, TO
THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TARRANT COUNTY, TEXAS,
BE CLOSED, ABANDONED AND VACATED AS PUBLIC THOR-
OUGHFARES FROM SOUTH MAIN STREET TO THE RIGHT OF
WAY OF THE H. & T. C. RAILWAY COMPANY, PROVIDING
FOR THE ACCEPTANCE OF THE DEDICATION OF AN ALLEY
FIFTEEN FEET IN WIDTH, THIRTY FEET SOUTH OF THE
PRESENT ALLEY IN SAID BLOCK 11 AND PROVIDING FCR
THE REPEAL OF ALL ORDINANCES OR PORTIONS OF OR-
DINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH.
WHEREAS, it appearing to the City Council of the
City of Fort Worth, Texas, that the streets and thoroughfares
hereinafter described have not been used as streets or pub- •
lic gays and that they are not required for such use by the
public, that it is to the best interest of the public that
they be closed, abandoned and vacated and that a dedication
of a fifteen foot alley through Block 11 should be accepted.
NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH:
SECTION I.
That BarnJIpa6t, Alexander Street (East Robert
Avenue), Colvin Street (Floydada Street), and the alleys in
Blocks 10 and 11, Hemphill Heights Addition, Second Filing, to
the City of Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas, be and the samd
are hereby abandoned, closed and vacated as public thorough-
fares from South MainLiStreet to the right of way of the H. &
T. C. Railway Company.
SECTION II.
That the dedication of an alley fifteen feet
in width, the north line of which thoroughfare shall be
thirty feet south of the south line of the present alley
in said block as it has heretofore been designated and
running parallel with said line is hereby accepted.
SECTION III.
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION IV.
That this ordinance shall take effect and be
in full force and effect from and after the date of its
pagsage•
