AN ORDINANCE SETTING FORTH AN ITM=ED ESTIMATE OF
THE ESPENSE OF CONDUCTING EACH DEPARTLMT, DIVISION
AND OFFICE OF THE MUNICIPAL GOVERNMENT OF THE CITY
OF FORT WORTH FOR THE ENSUING FISCAL YEAR AND APPRO-
PRIATING MONEY FOR THE VARIOUS FUNDS AND PURPOSES OF
SUCH ESTIMATE, AND PROVIDING FOR PUBLIC HEARINGS UPON
THIS ORDINANCE BEFORE THE ENTIRE CITY COUNCIL SITTING
AS A CO "M OF THE WHOLE.
BE IT OR114INED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH,
TKYAS:
SECTION I.
That the appropriations for the ensuing fiscal year beginning
October 1, 1936 and ending September 30, 1937, for the different depart-
ments and purposes of the City of Fort Worth be fixed and determined as
follows:

XII WATERWORKS FUND BUDGET
The Water Department shall be provided with such revenue as may be
secured from the sale of water and other sources as shown by other ordinances
heretofore passed and such money shall be used to meet the requirements of
that department as provided in the budget of the City Manager.
XIII PARKS
The Department of Public Parks shall be provided with funds realized
from a tax levy of 9$ on each $100.00 of assessed value of all reals personal

and mixed property in the City of Pori not exempt from taxation by law, and
such money shall be used to meet the requirements of that department as provided
in the budget of the City Manager.
XIV RECREATION
The Department of Public Recreation shall be provided with funds
realized from a tax levy of 2$ on each $100.00 of assessed value of all real,
personal and mixed property in the City of Fort Worth not exempt from taxation
by law, and such money shall be used to meet the requirements of that department
as provided in the budget of the City Manager.
XV LIBRARY
The Public Library shall be provided with funds realized from a
tax levy of 3¢ on each $100.00 of assessed value of all real, personal and
mixed property in the City of Fort Worth not exempt from taxation by law,
and such money shall be used to meet the requirements of that department as
provided in the budget of the City Manager.
SECTION II.
That the distribution and division of the above named appropria-
tions be made in accordance with the budget of expenditures submitted by the
City Manager and as revised by the City Council in accordance with the pro-
visions of the City Charter and adopted by the City Council and which budget
is made a part of this ordinance by reference thereto and shall be considered
in connection with the expenditures of the above appropriation.
SECTION III.
That the City Council of the City of Fort Worth, as heretofore
provided and for which meeting notice has been duly given, shall sit as a
committee of the whole in the Council Chamber t the City Hall in the City
of Fort Worth on Wednesday, tht day of.1 1. D. 1936,
at ra*clocks., to hear any complaints, suggestions or observations
that any citizen, taxpayer or party interested may desire to make with refer-
ence to any or all the provisions of this ordinance, and such committee shall
continue its deliberations until the public has been given a full opportunity
to be heard.
SECTION IV.
That following the public hearings, for which provision has been
made in the preceding section, this ordinance shall be published in the
official newspaper of the City of Fort Worth and which newspaper is one of
general circulation in said City, together with a separate schedule setting
forth the items in the estimate of the City Manager, which were omitted or
changed by the City Council, and the reason for such omission or change, as
required by the Charter of said Oity.
SECTION V.
That this ordinance shall not be presented for final passage until
ten full days have elapsed after its publication, as provided by the Charter
of said City
SECTION VI.
Should any part, portion, section or part of a section of this
ordinance be declared invalid or inoperative or void for any reason by a
court of competent jurisdiction, such decision, opinion or judgment shall in
no way affect the remaining portions, parts, sections or parts of sections
of this ordinance, which provisions shall be, remain and continue to be in
Rill force and effect.
SECTION VII.
That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and
effect from and after the date of its passage and publication as required
by the Charter of the City of Fort North.

On September 239 1936 the City Council sitting as a ccami.ttee of
the whole for the purpose of public hearing on the Budget made the following
changes:
Appropriated $15,000.00 from the Park Department General Fund to
the General Fund: approximately one-half of the debt service charges of
bonds issued for Park Department purposes.
.Appropriated an additional 115,000.00 from the Park Department
General Fund to the General Fund to cover the obligation in that amount
which was not paid during the year ending September 30, 1936,
Appropriated $5,300.00 from the Recreation Department General Fund
to the General Fund: approximately one-half of the debt service charges
of bonds issued for Recreation Department services.
I, Henry Keller, City Secretary of the City of Fort Worth, Texas,
do hereby certify that the above and foregoing is a true and correct copy
of Ordinance No. 1922, said ordinance setting forth an itemized estimate of
the expense of conducting each department, division and office of the
municipal government of the City of Fort Worth for the ensuing fiscal year
beginning October 1, 1936 and ending September 30, 1937, as presented to
the City Council in regular session Wednesday, September 23, 1936; also
a separate schedule of changes made in the City Manager*s estimate by the
City Council on that date.

CHANGES MADE BY CITY COUNCIL
OCTOBER 14, 1936
The Budget of the Park Department was increased in the amount of
$15,000 instead of $30,000 as originally determined on Wednesday, September
23, 1986, for the purpose of paying part of the interest and principal require-
ments on outstanding park bonds, the said sum being the amount appropriated by
the Park Board for the last fiscal year but never paid, and that said appropria-
tion be taken from the unappropriated balance for the fiscal year.

do hereby certify that the above and foregoing is a true and correct copy of
Ordinance No. 1922, said ordinance setting forth an itemized estimate of the
expense of conducting each department, division and office of the municipal
government of the City of Fort Worth for the ensuing fiscal year beginning
October 1, 1936 and ending September 30, 1937, as adopted by the City Council
in regular session Wednesday, October 14, 1936; also a separate schedule of
changes made in the City Managers estimate by the City Council on that date.
