AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 2 OF ORDINANCE NO. 1997, WHICH IS
AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE REGULATION AND OPERATION OF PUBLIC
VEHIMS IN THE CITT OF FORT WORTH, TERAS, BY CHANGING PROVISIONS
SPECIFYING THE RATES TO BE CHARGED BY ALL TAXICAB. OMATORSt
DECLARING THE ORDINANCE TO BE OUMVLATMI, AND FIXING A P$NALTT
FOR THE VIOLATION THIMM7.
BE IT ORDAINED BT THE CITY MYNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WCN.S.'H, TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
That Section 2 of Ordinance No. 1947 be amended to read as follows:
That the prices to be charged by all taxicab operators in the City of Fort
Worth, which prices are hereby declared to be fair and reasonable for such
services, shall be as follows:
Thirty-five cents (3$0) for the first two (2) miles
or fraction thereof tru Iled, carrying one, two,
three or four people, and ten cents (i(*) for each
one-half (}) mile or fraction thereof after the first
two miles, and two and one-half cents (2*0) r min-
ate for waiting time, and Two Dollars ($2.00)per
hour for driving time an special trips or sightseeing
tours.
SECTION 2.
This ordinance shall be and is hereby declared to be am lative of all
other ordinances of the City of Fort Worth affecting traffic on its streets,
and shall not operate to repeal or affect ay each ordinance or ordinanpes
except insofar as they are in conflict or inconsistent with the provisions
of this ordinance.
SECTION 3.
Arlt person violating any of the provisions of this ordinance shall,
upon conviction thereof, be fined in any sum not to exceed Two Hundred Dollars
($200.00), and each violation thereof shall be and is hereby declared to be a
distinct and separate offense and punishable as such.
SECTION 4.
This ordinance shall take effect and be in fall fora* and effect from
and after the date of its publication as proV1W by law.
