AN ORDINANCE EXTENDING THE BOUNDARY LIMITS AND ANNEX- OEftC9?�L R�CO�R ING CERTAIN TERRITORY LYING ADJACENT TO THE CITY OF CI' P,�VCRILRM FORT WORTH; PROVIDING THAT THE ORDINANCE BE ADVERTISED r, IN A DAILY NEWSPAPER PUBLISHED IN SAID CITY IN ACCORD- FT. %TRTI, re. ANCE WITH THE PROVISIONS OF SECTION 40, CHAPTER XXVIII OF THE CITY CHARTER; PRESCRIBING A SAYING CLAUSE AND SPECIFYING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS: Section 1. That the hereinafter described territory lying adjacent to the City of Fort Worth is hereby annexed and brought within the corporate limits and made an integral part of said City of Fort Worth, said territory being situated in Tarrant County, Texas, and being described by metes and bounds as follows: BEING a tract of land about 5 miles east from the Court House of Tarrant County, Texas, and lying in and including all or part of the J. Brockman, E. Jones, R. G. B. Williams, P. E. Coleman, E. Taylor, W. Baker, W. Mann, W. N. Ray, N. Burton, J. F. Redding, G. W. Main, J. H. Conner, H. Robinson, and H. P. Largent Surveys and being more fully described as follows: BEGINNING at a point in the present City of Fort Worth City Limit Line, in the west line of Handley Drive (County Road No. 2054) at its intersection with the north line of Fort Worth-Dallas Turnpike; THENCE north along the present City of Fort Worth City Limit Line and along the westerly right-of-gray line of Ederville Road (County Road No. 2054) to the south line of Randol Mill Road (County Road No. 2021); THENCE westerly with the south line of Randol Mill Road (County Road No* 2021) to the west line of the Handley Fderville Road (County Road No. 3054), produced south, in the J• F. Redding Survey; THENCE northerly to and along the west line of the Handley Ederville Road (County Road No. 3054) to the middle of the Trinity River; THENCE easterly up the middle of the Trinity River with its meanders to its intersection with the east line of a 100 foot strip of land annexed by Ordinance No. 3561, in the east line of the W. R. Reeder Survey; THENCE south along the east line of the W. R. Reeder Survey and along said line produced south to its intersection with the southeasterly line of Randol Mill Road (County Road No. 2021); THENCE southwesterly and westerly along the southeasterly and souther- ly line of Randol Mill Road (County Road No. 2021) with its meanders to its intersection with the east line of the W. F. White Survey produced north; THENCE south to and along the east line of the W. F. White Survey and the W. L. Tandy Survey to its intersection with the north right=of- way line of the Dallas Fort Worth Turnpike; THENCE easterly along the north right-of-way line of the Dallas- Fort Worth Turnpike to the place of beginning and containing approximately 1.93 square miles. Section 2. That this ordinance shall be published one time in a daily newspaper piblished in the City of Fort Worth, in accordance with the provisions of Section 40, dxapter XXVIII of the City Charter. Section 3. If any section, subsection, clause, sentence, phrase, or word of this ordinance is for any reason held void, or unconstitutional by a court of competent jurisdiction, such invalidity shall not affect the validity of the remaining sections, subsections, clauses, sentences, phrases or words, except as the same are inseparable from and indispensable to the remaining portions of the ordinance. Section 11. That this ordinance shall become effective and be in full force and effect upon its final passage, which in no event shall be less than thirty (30) days from the date of its publication, as aforesaid, and it is so ordained. D. 1961 APPROVED AS TO FORM AND IEGALITY: City Attorney eekLngk CITY OF FORT WORTH ��: 4aite ` TEXAS mr. r"'1" OFFICE OF THE CITY MANAGER Communication to Mayor and Council No. PZO- I I January 6, 1961 Honorable Mayor and Members of the City Council Re: Deletion from Second Reading City of Fort Worth and Reannexation on First Reading of Territory near White Lake Mrs. McKnight and Gentlemen: On December 9, 1960, the City Council approved M&C PZO-8, and adopted Ordinance No. 3967, annexing approximately 4.7 square miles on final reading, with the stipulation that the portion not requested for final annexation be deannexed as soon as the areas could be defined. f The area originally requested for final annexation lies east of White Lake Dairy, and includes the site of a proposed parochial high school . Ordinances deleting all the area not originally requested for final annexation, and placing the deleted area back into first reading as three (3) separate parcels, have been prepared.and are recommended for adoption.
