Sewell, Vice President of Texas Industries, the owner of Tract 4-C, J. Thornhill Survey, has submitted a letter stating the proposed paving will not benefit the firm's property or operations, and therefore opposes the proposed assessment of- $1,615.75. f$1,615.75. Thornhill Drive was petition for paving by the owners of a retail automotive parts. chain store and an apartment building located on the north side of Thornhill Drive directly across from the Texas Industries property. The petition represented 50 per cent of the footage on the street to be paved. The Public Works Department considers the petition to be valid, and that the property owned by Texas Industries is benefitted in the amount of the assessment. UNIT 9 - ST. LOUIS AVENUE: Fogg Street to Pafford Street No objections to the paving were made at the Neighborhood Hearing. UNITS 10, 11, and 12 - LOI+D STREET: N-S Freeway Service Road to Evans to New York to Cole Mr. Jose Arrendondo, 805 Lomo, Lot 14, Block 6, Brentmoor Addition, stated that he was in favor of the paving. A representative of the Good Shepherd Baptist Church located on Lots 1 & 2, Block 10, Brentmoor Addition (Southeast corner of Evans and Lomo) stated that water drains through the church parking lot, and inquired if any drainage work would be done in connection with the paving. He was told that a storm drain system would be installed prior to pav- ing with drainage inlets at the corner of Evans Avenue and Lomo Street. UNIT 13 - SOUTH MAIN STREET: Thornhill Drive to Seminary Drive Paving of this block, previously deleted from a project by Council action at a special benefit hearing on September 24, 1962, has been re-initiated by property owners repre- senting 75 per cent of the front footage. At the previous hearing, property owners representing only 25 per cent of the front footage had petitioned for the paving. Half of the property ownership adjacent to the street has changed since the 1962 hearing. No objections to the paving were made at the Neighborhood Hearing.
