AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE CLOSING AND VA- CATING OF CERTAIN STREETS AND UTILITY EASEMENTS IN SOUTHWEST HILLS ADDITION TO THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TARRANT COUNTY, TEXAS; PROVIDING FOR THE REVERSION OF THE INTEREST OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH IN SAID LAND; REPEALING ALL ORDI- NANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS: SECTION 1, That the following streets be and the same are hereby closed, abandoned and permanently vacated as streets or pub- lic thoroughfares of any kind or character whatever: Sandra Drive - Fromthe southwest line of lot 1, Block 7, and Lot 3, Block 8, Southwest Hills Ad- dition, southwest to the southwest line of Lot 1, Block 15, Southwest Hills Addition Kimberly Kay Drive - From the southwest line of Lot 1,Block 8, and Lot 3, Block 9, Southwest Hills Addi- tion, southwest to Ladona Drive Ladona Drive - All of Ladona Drive SECTION 2. That all utility easements located in Lots 15 through 24, Block 7; Lots 4 through 23, Block 8; Lots 4 through 12, Block 9; Lots 4 through 9, Block 14; and Lot 1, Block 15, Southwest Hills Addition, be and the same are hereby vacated, closed and permanently abandoned as easements for public utilities conditioned upon the owner=s replating of said property and dedicating such easements as may be required by the Plan Commission of the City of Fort Worth, SECTION 3. That the interest of the City of Fort Worth in the fee to the land in said streets and easements above described is hereby released and shall revert to the adjacent owner of the fee as provided by law. SECTION 4. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. SECTION 5. That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect from and after the date of its passage. APPROVED AS TO FORM AND LEGALITY: �I City Attorney 6 � - City of Fort North, Texas Mayor, and Council Communication SNE DATE REFERENCE SUBJECT: PAGE NUMBER Proposed Closing— Streets and 1 0"18 3/11/68 PZ-273 Easements in Southwest Hills Addition for tAtAM Southwest Hills, Inc., owner of all adjoining property, has requested the City UCES OWEI of Fort Worth to vacate the following public rights-of-way: WONEY BUCK 4AN 1) Sandra Drive - from the southwest line of Lot 1, Block 7 and Lot 3, ,r Y� Block 8, Southwest Hills Addition, southwest to the southwest line of Lot 1, Block 15, Southwest Hills Addition. 2) Kimberly Kay Drive - from the southwest line of Lot 1, Block 8 and Lot 3, Block 9, Southwest Hills Addition southwest to Ladona Drive. 3) Ladona Drive - all of Ladona Drive. 4) Utility easements - all utility easements located in Lots 15 through 24, Block 7.; Lots 4 through 23, Block 8; Lots 4 through 12, Block 9; Lots 4 through 9, Block 14; and Lot 1, Block 15, Southwest Hills Addition. This request is made to permit replatting of the subject rights-of-way and adjoining properties to facilitate development. The subject streets are not open on the ground and the easements will not be required in their present location. City Departments and private utility companies have reviewed this request and have no objections provided the property is replatted and easements pro- vided where necessary. The City Plan Commission has reviewed this request and recommends adoption of an ordinance which has been prepared vacating the subject streets and utility easements, subject to replatting the property and obtaining easements where necessary:. New Platting The applicant has submitted an approved replat which dedicates the necessary easements. The applicant has replatted the subject property in two sections, one of which will be on the City Council agenda for March 11, 1968. (Approval of the Community Facilities Contract for Southwest Hills, Block 6 - 10 and 18).` M&C C- 1178) The second section is replatted for the Trinity Valley School Site.
