HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance 16465-06-2005Ordinance No I 5'0 ,a~~ AN ORDINANCE INCREASING APPROPRIATIONS IN THE GENERAL FUND IN THE AMOUNT OF $9,238 70 AND DECREASING THE GENERAL FUND BALANCE BY THE SAME AMOUNT FOR THE PURPOSE OF FUNDING THE ANNUAL MAINTAINENCE OF PARKLAND AT POYNTER CROSSING MAKING THIS ORDINANCE CUMULATIVE OF PRIOR ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH TEXAS SECTION 1 That in addition to those amounts allocated to the various City departments for Fiscal Year 2004- 2005 in the Budget of the City Manager there shall also be increased appropriations in the General Fund in the amount of $9,238 70 and decreasing the General Fund balance by the same amount, for the purpose of funding the annual maintenance of parkland at Poynter Crossing SECTION 2 That should any portion section or part of a section of this ordinance be declared invalid inoperative or void for any reason by a court of competent jurisdiction such decision opinion or judgment shall in no way impair the remaining portions, sections, or parts of sections of this ordinance, which said remaining provisions shall be and remain in full force and effect. Adopt the supplemental appropriation ordinance increasing appropriations in the General Fund. by $9,238 70 and reducing the General Fund balance by the same amount. DISCUSSION The 5 762 acres of parkland and an associated $171 225 neighborhood park facility development fee is part of the park dedication required for the Poynter Crossing subdivision Centex Homes the developer worked with the Parks and Community Services Department to provide suitable parkland and amenities that will serve this new development. 'The legal descrig_tion is as follows: A tract of land. situated in 'the Antonio Castillo Survey Abstract No 272 City of Fort Worth Tarrant County Texas and being a portion of that tract of land as described in Deed to Centex Homes, a Nevada General Partnership and recorded in Volume 14977 Page 165 Deed Records, Tarrant County Texas. The developer chose to offset the required neighborhood park facility development fee by undertaking park facility development and constructing the following improvements 1 500 linear feet of hikelbike trail a playground benches and a pond The cost of the improvements are valued at $169 500 and satisfy the required neighborhood park facility development fee The Poynter Crossing subdivision is located north of North Crowley-Cleburne Road and east of West Cleburne Road The 5 762-acre land dedication is required to satisfy the preliminary plat that fell under the 2000 Neighborhood and Community Park Dedication Policy The proposed parkland abuts the existing four-acre Fox Run Park to the north and will be an addition to that park.
