ORDINANCE NO. CITY SECRETARY
AN ORDINANCE DISCONTINUING TERRITORY FROM FT. WORTH, TEX.
WITHIN THE CORPORATE LDdETS OF THE CITY OF
FORT WORTH; PRESCRIBING A SAVINGS CLAUSE;
AND PROVIDING E:N EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT TWORTH:
Section 1.
That the following described territory within the corporate limits of the
City of Fort viorth is hereby discontinued as a part of the City of Fort Worth
and said tract of land is described by metes and bounds as follows:
BEING a tract of land about 1L, miles south of the Court House of Tarrant
County, Texas, and lying in and including all or part of the G. H. Ham-
ilton, J. M. Robinson, J. E. Phillips, G. B. Stone, J. Martin, J. Steele,
Sarah Gray, A. Lee, J. M. Zamprano, D. Pool, J. B. Kerr, T. Stephens, M. E.
Cannon, Wim. H. Moneford, W. B. Stout, J. B. Boydston, N. i�ichols, D.
Gregory, J. Rendon, Vash Davidson, and H. G. Catlett Surveys;
BEGINF-IIvG at a point in the east right-of-way line of U. S. Highway
No. $l, South (Interstate Hwy. I.-35tini) at its intersection with the
south right-of-way line of County Road No. 107$.
THENCE south along the east rigrit-of way line of U. S. Highway No.
$1, South (Interstate Hwy. I-35W), with its meanders, to its intersection
with the north line of the Sarah Gray Survey;
THENCE ehast along the north line of the Sarah Gray Survey to its
northeast corner;
THENCE south along the east line of the Sarah Gray Survey to the
northwest corner of the A. Lee Survey;
THENCE east along the north lines of the A. Lee and Jose K. Zambrano
Surveys to the westerly northwest corner of the J. Rendon Survey;
THENCE east along the northerly south line of the J. Rendon Survey
to its interior corner;
THENCE north along the easterly west line of the J. Rendon Survey,
and along the west lines of the Wash Davidson and H. G. Catlett Surveys
to the intersection of the west line of the H. G. Catlett Survey with
the northeasterly right-of-way line of County Road No. 1015;
THENCE southeasterly, southerly, and southeasterly along the north-
easterly, easterly, and northeasterly right-of-way lines of County Road
No. 1C15, with its meanders, to its intersection with the northwesterly
right-of-way line of County Road No. 1062;
TMgCE southwesterly along the northwesterly right-of-gray line of
County Road No. 1062 to its intersection with the south line of Tarrant
County;
THENCE west along the south line of Tarrant County to its intersec-
tion with the west right-of-way line of U. S. Highway No. $1, South,
(Interstate Hwy. 135W);
THENCE north along the west right-of-way line of U. S. Highway No.
81,tSouth (Interstate Hwy. I 35W) to its intersection with the South right-
of-way line of County Road No. 107$;
THENCE east along the south right-of-way line of County Road No. 107$
to the place of beginning and containing approximately 7.1 square miles.
Section 2.
That this ordinance shall and does hereby amend every prior ordinance in con-
flict herewith, and more particularly this ordinance expressly amends Ordinance
No. 3$3$, heretofore adopted and passed on May 16, 1958, but as to all other
ordinances or sections of ordinances not indirect conflict herewith this ordi—
nance shall be and is hereby, made cumulative.
Section 3.
If any section, subsection or provision of this ordinance shall be held
invalid or unconstitutional by a court of competent jurisdiction, the portion
so held to be invalid or unconstitutional shall not affect any other part of
the ordinance, which shall remain in full force and effect.
Section 4.
This ordinance, after it has been duly passed, shall be entered as an order
on the minutes and permanent records of the City of Fort Worth, from and after
the date of its entry, the territory hereinbefore described shall cease to be a
part of the City of Fort Worth.
Section 5.
That this Ordinance shall become effective and shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage, and it is so ordained.
