AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING THAT HERMOSA STREET, FROM
GRANT STREET WEST TO ITS DEAD IIID, BE VACATED,
CLOSED AND ABANDONED; PROVIDING FOR THE REVERSION
OF THE FEE IN SAID LAND; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES
IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING THAT THIS OR-
DINANCE SHALL BECOME EFFECTIVE IATELY.
WHEREAS, although the hereinafter described street appears on a re-
corded plat as a public street, it has never been used by the public as
a street; and,
WHEREAS, it is to the beat interest of the public that this street
be permanently closed, and abandoned to public use; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
That Hermosa Street, from Grant Street west to its dead and, be and
the same is)hereby vacated, closed and permanently abandoned as a street
or public thoroughfare.
SECTION 2.
That the fee to the aforesaid street is hereby released and will
revert to the adjacent owners as provided by law, save and except that an
easement is reserved for public utilities.
SECTION 3.
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are
hereby repealed.
SECTION 4.
That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and ef-
fect from and after the date of its passage.

Reference
ir:Reference is made to the attached request from the Glen Garden
Country Club and Mr. Don R. Fox, for the closing of Hermosa Street
from Grant Street west to the end. The owners of all adjacent
property have signed this request. I see no reason why the street
should not be closed as it has never been opened on the ground.
Our recommendation is that this street be closed by Ordinance.

Gentlemen:
We, the undersigned, petition for the closing of
Hermosa Street, from Grant Street west to where
it dead-ends.
The Glen Garden Golf & Country Club owns Lots 7,
8 and 9, Block 2, Trueland Addition and Lots 3,
4 and 5, Block 3, Trueland Addition and Mr. Don
R. Fox of 4730 East Lancaster owns Lot 2, Block 3,
Trueland Addition, and these are the only lots
facing on this street.
