HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance 7320 O RDI NANCE NO. �oZ C7 AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING THAT THE NORTH-SOUTH ALLEY IN BLOCK 106, CITY ADDITION, A WIDTH OF 10' AND A- LENGTH OF 200' FROM WEST 6TH STREET SOUTH TO WEST 7TH STREET, BE VACATED, ABANDONED AND CLOSED; PROVIDING FOR THE REVERSION OF THE FEE IN SAID LAND; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH AND PROVIDING THAT THIS OR- DINANCE SHALL BECOME EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS. SECTION 1. That the north-south alley in Block 106, City Addition, a width of 10' and a length of 200' from West 6th Street south to West 7th Street, be and the same is hereby vacated, closed and permanently abandoned as an alley or public thorough- fare of any kind or character whatever. SECTION 20 That the fee to the land in the above described alley is hereby released and will revert to the adjacent owners as pro- vided by law, save and except that easements are reserved for any and all existing utilities. SECTION 3. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. SECTION 4. Subject right-of-way, acquired by dedication, is open, paved and has been used as an extension of the adjoining parking area. Subject alley contains electric facilities. Satisfactory relocation arrange- ments of these public facilities have been made. Reviewing City departments and private utility companies have no objections to this request provided a satisfactory replat of the vacated right-of-way is provided City staff. The City Plan Commis- sion has reviewed this request and recommends that an ordinance be adopted vacating subject right-of-way. A satisfactory replat of the property has been submitted to City staff. Recommendation It is recommended chat an ordinance be adopted vacating subject right-of-way as recommended by the City Plan Commission.
