Ordinance No 1D ra a0(7+j AN ORDINANCE INCREASING THE ESTIMATED RECEIPTS AND APPROPRIATIONS IN THE WATER CAPITAL PROJECT FUND IN THE AMOUNT OF $205,110 FROM AVAILABLE FUNDS FOR THE PURPOSE OF FUNDING AN ENGINEERING AGREMENT WITH CAMP DRESSER & MCKEEE, INC FOR THE DESIGN OF THE EXPANSION OF THE NORTHSIDE PUMP STATION, MAKING THIS ORDINANCE CUMULATIVE OF PRIOR ORDINANCES AND REPEALING ALL PRIOR ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH TEXAS SECTION 1 That in addition to those amounts allocated to the various City departments for Fiscal Year 2004-2005 and in the Budget of the City Manager there shall also be increased estimated receipts and appropriations in the Water Capital Project Fund in the amount of $205 110 from available funds for the purpose of funding an engineering agreement with Camp Dresser & McKee, Inc. for the design of the expansion of the Northside Pump Station SECTION 2. That should any portion section or part of a section of this ordinance be declared invalid inoperative or void for any reason by a court of competent jurisdiction such decision, opinion or judgment shall in no wa.y impair the remaining portions, sections, or parts of sections of this ordinance, which said remaining provisions shall be and remain in full force and effect. SECTION 3 That this ordinance shall be cumulative of Ordinance No 16061 and all other ordinances and appropriations amending the same except in those instances where the provisions of this ordinance are in direct conflict with such other ordinances and appropriations, in which instance said conflicting provisions of said prior ordinances and appropriations are hereby expressly repealed. NO *C-20779 SUBJECT Adopt Appropriation Ordinances and Authorize Execution of an Engineering Agreement with Camp Dresser & McKee Inc. for the Expansion. of the Northside Pump Station RECOMMENDATION It is recommended that the City Council authorize the City Manager to 1 Adopt the appropriation ordinance increasing estimated receipts and appropriations in the Retail Water Impact Fee Account by $205 110 00 from available funds, 2. Authorize Transfer of the $205 110 00 from the Retail Water Impact Fee Account to the Water Capital Project Fund 3 Adopt the appropriation ordinance increasing estimated receipts and appropriations in the Water Capital Project Fund in the amount of $205 110 00 from available funds, and 4 Authorize the City Manager to execute an engineering agreement with Camp Dresser 8~ McKee Inc. for the design of the expansion of the Northside Pump Station for a fee not to exceed $238 500 DISCUSSION The Northside Pump Station was completed in 2004 as part of a series of projects to increase water transmission to north Fort Worth and its wholesale customers It is now necessary to expand this pump station to meet long-term demands for this growing area Camp Dresser & McKee Inc. will provide water distribution system modeling which will develop the required pump station improvements and will prepare construction plans and specifications for the recommended improvements Also the engineer will provide specialized inspection and SCADA system testing support during construction On May 18 2004 (M&C G-14635) the City Council adopted the Land Use Assumptions Capital Improvements Plan and Impact Fees for water and wastewater The Northside Pump Station is listed in the Capital Improvements Plan as eligible for partial impact fee funding In addition to the authorized amount, $31 500 is required for staff review and support.
