AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING THAT SOUTH JONES STREET IN THE 3100 BLACK FRONT THE MISSOURI-PACIFIC RAILROAD RIGHT-OF-WAY SOUTH TO DEVITT STREET AND THAT POR- TION OF THE ALLEY IN BLOCK 39, RYAN & PRUITT ADDI- TION TO THE CITY OF FORT NORTH, TARRANT COUNTY, TEXAS, ABUTTING LATS 2 THROUGH 5, BE VACATED, ABAN- DONED AND CLOSBDt PROVIDING FOR THE REVERSION OF THE INTEREST OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH IN SAID LAND? REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITHf AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT NORTH, TEXASt SECTION 1. That South Jones Street in the 3100 Block from the Missouri- Pacific Railroad right-of-way south to Devitt Street be and the same is hereby closed, abandoned and permanently vacated as a street or public thoroughfare of any kind or character whatever. SECTION 2. That that portion of the alley in Block 39, Ryan & Pruitt Addition to the City of Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas, abutting Lots 2 through 5, be and the same is hereby vacated, closed and permanently abandoned as an alley or public thorough- fare of any kind or character whatever. SECTION 3. That the interest of the City of Fort north in the fee to the land in said street and alley is hereby released and shall revert to the adjacent owner of the fee as provided by law, save and except that easements are reserved for any existing utilities. SBCTION 4. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. SECTION 5. That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect fry and after the date of its passage. Massengale has requested that the City vacate South Jones in the 3100 block a width of 60 feet and a length of approximately 300 feet and the N!!MAN alley in Block 39, Ryan & Pruitt, a width of 12 feet and a length of approxi- mately 128 feet from the railroad right-of-way south to Devitt Street, as shown on the attached map. Subject rights-of-way, acquired by dedication, are unimproved. There are no existing utility facilities located therein. The reviewing City departments and private utility companies have no objections to this request provided the vacated rights-of-way are replatted with adjoining property. The City has received a satisfactory replat. The City Plan Commission has reviewed this request and recommends that an ordinance be adopted vacating subject rights-of-way as requested. Recommendation It is recommended that an ordinance be adopted vacating subject rights-of-way as recommended by the City Plan Commission.
