AN ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING AND CLOSING
THE SANITARY SEWER EASEMENT A WIDTH OF 10' AND
A LENGTH OF 485' EXTENDING FROM THE SOUTH LINE
OF WEST 1ST STREET (VACATED BY CITY ORDINANCE
NO. 7188) TO THE NORTH RIGHT-OF-WAY LINE OF
WEST 3RD STREET; PROVIDING FOR THE REVERSION
OF THE FEE IN SAID LAND; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES
IN CONFLICT HEREWITH AND PROVIDING THAT THIS
ORDINANCE SHALL BECOME EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
That the sanitary sewer easement a width of 10' and a
length of 485' extending from the south line of West 1st
Street (vacated by City Ordinance No. 7188) to the north
right-of-way line of West 3rd Street be and the same is here-
by vacated, abandoned and permanently closed as a sanitary
sewer easement.
SECTION 2.
That the fee to the land in the above described sanitary
sewer easement is hereby released and will revert to the adja-
cent owners as provided by law, SAVE AND EXCEPT THAT easements
are reserved therein for any and all existing utilities.
SECTION 3.
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION 4.
That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full
force and effect from and after the date of its passage and
it is so ordained.

Tandy Corporation, owner of all abutting property, being Blocks 19 and 44,
Fort Worth Original Town Addition and a portion of West 2nd Street between
Taylor Street and Throckmorton Street, vacated by City Ordinance #7188, has
requested that the City vacate a sewer easement a width of 10 ft. and a
length of 485 ft. extending from the south line of West 1st Street (vacated
by City Ordinance #7188) to the north right-of-way line of West 3rd Street.
The subject easement, acquired by dedication, contains sanitary sewer line
L-26 which is now abandoned. It contains no other facilities.
City departments and private utility companies have reviewed this request and
have no objections. Satisfactory replat of the property has been submitted.
Recommendation
It is recommended that an Ordinance be adopted vacating the subject easement
as requested.
