A1V' ORDIXANCE PROVIDING FOR THE SANITARY
COLLECTION, STORAGE, REMOVAL AND FINAL
DISPOSAL OF STABLE MANURE; PROVIDING
PENALTIES FOR THE VIOLATION OF THE
PROVISIONS OF THIS ORDINANCE; AND REPEAL-
ING OTHER ORDINA"yCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH•
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH:
Section 1:
That it shall be unlawful for any person, firm
or corporation to deposit, or to permit the deposit,
accumulation or storage in any place within the
City of Fort Worth, of any stable manure or
droppings from a horse, cow or other domesticated
anlAal in such manner as to permit the breeding of
flies in such matter. The presence of fly maggots
in the manure shall be accepted as evidence of fly
breeding.
Section 2:
That every stable, shed or other building in
which a horse, cow or other domesticated animal
is kept within the city of Fort Worth shall be
cleaned of all manure at least once each day,
and the manure collected in the process of such
cleaning shall be stored pending its final removal
from the premises, in bins, vats or other receptacles
with watertight sides and bottoms and of adequate
capacity to receive and hold all manure accumulating
on the premises. All accumulations or collections
of manure from stables or other places within the
City of Fort Worth shall be removed for final
disposal at least once eacfi week in the period.
April first to November first, and at least once
every two weeks in the period November fix4t to
April first. Final disposal of the manure shall be
in a sanitary manner either at places without the
City or at places within the City designated and
approved by the City Health Officer for such purpose.
Section 3:
That all stables and other places in the City of Fort
Worth in which animals are kept shall be well drained,
ventilated and otherwise be maintained in a clean
and wholesome condition.
Section 4:
That any person or persons violating any of the
provisions of this ordinance, shall be deemed guilty
of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction thereof, shall
be fined in the sum of not less than Ten Dollars
(410.00) nor more than One Hundred Dollars ($100.00),
and each day's violation shall be deemed a peparate
offense.
Section 5:
That all ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed.
Section 6:
That this ordinance shall take effect from and after
its passage and publication, as required by law.
