HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance 4423 ORDINANCE NO. 4Z .Z9 OFFICIAL 11'420RD AN ING CERTAINEEXTENDING TERRITORY LYING ADJACENTY LIMITS THE CI ANNEX- CITY HO ENE FORT WORTH, PROVIDING THAT THE ORDINANCE BE ADVERTISEDFT. �s'f% TEX IN A DAILY NEWSPAPER PUBLISHED IN SAD CITY IN ACCORD- ANCE WITH THE PROVISIONS OF SECTION 40, CHAPTER XXVIII OF THE CITY CHARTER; PRESCRIBING A SAVING CLAUSE AND SPECIFYING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS Section 1. That the hereinafter described territory lying adjacent to the City of Fort Worth is hereby annexed and brought within the corporate limits and made an integral part of said City of Fort Worth, said territory being situated in Tarrant County, Texas, and being described by metes and bounds as follows: BEING a tract of land about 5 m3aes east from the Court House of Tarrant County, Texas and lying in and including all or part of the W. Norris, H. P. Largent, J. F. Redding, and W. N. Ray Surveys and being more fully described as follows: BEGINNING at a point in the present City of Fort Worth City Limit Line at its intersection with the north line of Randol Mill Road (County Road No. 2021), in the W. N. Ray Survey; THENCE wester],y with the north line of Randol Mill Road (County Road No. 2021) to the east line of the Handley Ederville Road (County Road No- 3051 ); THENCE northerlyalong the east line of the Handley Ederville Road (County Road No. 305to the south line of Midway Road (County Road No- 3007); THENCE westerly along the south line of Midway Road (County Road No- 3007) to its intersection with the east line of Willow Park, a dedicated public street, said point being 60 feet east from the northeast corner of Lot 16, Block 2, Richland Gardens, an addition out of the W. Norris Survey; THENCE south along the east line of Willow Park to its intersection with the south line of Larkspur Lane, produced east, a dedicated public street south of Block 2, Richland Gardens, an addition out of the W. Norris Survey; THENCE west along the south line of Larkspur Lane to its intersection with the west line of Park Place Drive, a dedicated public street in Richland Gardens, an addition out of the W. Norris Survey; THENCE north along the west line of Park Place Drive to the southeast corner of Lot 1, Block 1, Richland Garden, an addition out of the W. Norris Survey; THENCE west along the south line of said lot to its southwest corner; THENCE north along the west line of Block 1 of Richland Gardens, an addition out of the W. Norris Survey to its intersection with the south line of Midway Road (County Road No. 3007); THENCE westerly along the south line of Midway Road (County Road No. 3007) to a point in the east line of the G. B. Stanley Survey said point being also in the east line of a 100 foot strip of land annexed by Ordinance No- 3561; THENCE south along the east line of the G. B. Stanley, H. B. Tuggle, and W. R. Reeder Surveys and along the east line of said 100 foot strip to the middle of the Trinity River; TFMCE down the middle of the river in an easterly direction to its intersection with the west line of the Handley Ederville Road (County Road No. 3051 ); THENCE south along the west line of the Handley Ederville Road (County Road No. 3054) and along said line produced south to its inter— section with the south line of Randol Mill Road (County Road No. 2021); THENCE east along the south line of Randol Mill Road (County Road No. 2021) to its intersection with the City of Fort Worth City Limit Line; THENCE north along the City of Fort Worth City Limit Line to the place of beginning and containing approximately .91 square miles. Section 2. That this ordinance shall be published one time in a daily newspaper published in the City of Fort Worth, in accordance with the provisions of Section 40, Chapter XXVIII of the City Charter. Section 3. If any section, subsection, clause, sentence, phrase, or word of this ordinance is for any reason held void, or unconstitutional by a court of competent jurisdiction, such invalidity shall not affect the validity of the remaining sections, subsections, clauses, sentences, ,phrases or words, except as the same are inseparable from and indispensable to the remaining portions of the ordinance. SECTION 4• That this ordinance shall became effective and be in full force and effect upon its final passage, which in no event shall be less than thirty (30) days from the date of its publication, as aforesaid, and it is so ordained.
