ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE EXTENDING THE BOUNDARY LIMITS AND ANNEX-
ING CERTAIN TERRITORY LYING ADJACENT TO THE CITY OF
FORT WORTH; PROVIDING THAT THE ORDINANCE BE ADVERTISED
IN A DAILY NEWSPAPER PUBLISHED IN SAID CITY IN ACCORD-
ANCE WITH THE PROVISIONS OF SECTION 40, CHAPTER XXVIII
OF THE CITY CHARTER; AND PRESCRIBING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
That the hereinafter described territory lying adjacent to the City
of Fort Worth is hereby annexed and brought within the corporate limits and
made an integral part of said City of Fort Worth, said territory being situ-
ated in Tarrant County, Texas, and being described by metes and bounds as
follows.
BEGINNING at a point in the present City of Fort
Worth City Limit Line at its intersection with the
west line of the C. A. Kuykendall Survey;
THENCE northerly along the west lines of the C. A.
Kuykendall, S. B. Hopkins, J. M. Millsap, J. Armendaris
No. 1770, and N. B. Breeding Surveys to the south line
of the W. J. Orrick Survey;
THENCE north along the easterly west line of the W.
J. Orrick Survey to its interior corner;
THENCE west along the northerly south line of the
W. J. Orrick Survey to its northerly southwest corner;
THENCE north along the west lines of the W. J. Orrick
and T. J. Bailey Surveys to the northwest corner of the
T. J. Bailey Survey;
THENCE east along the north line of the T. J. Bailey
Survey to the southwest corner of the J. P. Smith Survey;
THENCE north along the west line of the J. P. Smith
Survey to its northwest corner;
THENCE east along the north line of the J. P. Smith
Survey to its northeast corner in the south Line of the
Ramon Gangara Survey;
THENCE east along the south line of the Ramon Gangara
Survey to its southeast corner;
THENCE north along the east line of the Ramon Gangara
Survey to its northeast corner in the south line of the
Y. Samoras Survey;
THENCE east along the south line of the Y. Samoras
Survey to its southeast corner;
THENCE north along the east line of the Y. Samoras
Survey to its intersection with the south line of the
G. A. Criner Survey produced west;
THENCE east along said line, crossing the T. & P.
RR Company and M. E. P. & P. RR Company Surveys, to
the east line of the M. E. P. & P. RR Company Survey;
THENCE south along the east line of the M. E. P. &
P. RR Company Survey to its southeast corner;
THENCE west along the south line of the M. E. P. &
P. RR Company Survey to an east line of the T. & P.
RR Company Survey;
THENCE south along the said east line of the T. & P.
RR Company Survey to its most easterly southeast corner;
THENCE southwesterly to the northeast corner of the
T. Hicks Survey;
THENCE, south along the east line of the T. Hicks
and 'J. E. Boswell Surveys to the north line of the I. N.
Reed Survey;
THENCE east along the north line of the I. N. Reed
Survey to its northeast corner;
THF24CE south along the east line of the T. N. Reed
Survey to its southeast corner;
THridCE west along the south line of the I. N. Reed
Survey to the northeast' corner of the J. H. Simmons
Survey;
T=dCE south along the east line of the J. H. Simmons
Survey to its intersection with the east line of State
Farm to Market :load No. 1220;
THENCE south alone; the east line of State Farm to Har—
ket Road No. 1220 to its intersection with the south
line of County Road No. 4126;
THENCE west and southwesterly along the south line of
County -load i1o. 4126, and along said line produced to
its intersection with the present City of Fort Worth
City Limit Line;
THENCE northwesterly along the present City of Fort
Worth City Limit Line to the place of beginning, and
containing approximately 9.6 square miles.
SECTION 2.
That this ordinance shall be published one time in The Fort �Jorth
Press, a daily newspaper published in the City of Fort I:Torth, in accordance
with the provisions of Section 40, Chapter XVIII of the City Charter.
SECTION 3.
That this ordinance shall become effective and be in full force and
effect upon its final passage, which in no event shall be less than thirty
(30) days from the date of its publication, as aforesaid, and it is so
ordained.
