HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance 7030 ORDINANCE NO. AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING THAT APACHE TRAIL EASTWARD FROM DAKOTA TRAIL ABUTTING TRACT 1, J. M. BASQUIS SURVEY, ABSTRACT 85, AND LOT 10, BLOCK 34, INDIAN OAKS ADDITION TO THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TARRANT COUNTY, TEXAS, BE VACATED, ABANDONED AND CLOSED; PROVIDING FOR THE REVERSION OF THE INTEREST OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH IN SAID LAND; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That Apache Trail eastward from Dakota Trail abutting Tract 1, J. M. Basquis Survey, abstract 85, and Lot 10, Block 34, Indian Oaks Addition to the City of Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas, be and the same is hereby closed, abandoned and permanently vacated as a street or public thorough- fare of any kind or character whatever, save and except that easements are reserved for any existing utilities. SECTION 2. That the interest of the City of Fort Worth in the fee to the land in said street is hereby released and shall re- vert to the adjacent owners of the fee as provided by law. SECTION 3. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. SECTION 4. That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect from and after the date of its passage. Swift, with the consent of all abutting property owners, has requested the City to vacate Apache Trail in the 6900 block a width of 50 feet and a length of 181 feet eastward from Dakota Trail abutting Tract 1, J. M. Basquis Survey, Abstract 85, and Lot 10, Block 34, Indian Oaks Addition, as shown on the attached map. The reviewing City departments and private utility companies have no objections to this request provided the Applicant replats the vacated right-of-way with abutting property. The City Plan Commission has reviewed this request and recommends that an ordin- ance be adopted vacating subject right-of-way as requested. A satisfactory re- plat has been submitted to the City staff. Recommendation It is recommended that an ordinance be adopted vacating subject right-of-way as recommended by the City Plan Commission.
