AN ORDINANCE INCREASING APPROPRIATIONS IN THE CULTURE AND
TOURISM FUND IN THE AMOUNT OF $30,210 AND DECREASING THE
UNRESERVED FUND BALANCE BY THE SAME AMOUNT FOR THE
PURPOSE OF TRANSFERRING SAID FUNDS TO THE SPECIALLY FUNDED
CAPITAL PROJECTS FUND• MAKING THIS ORDINANCE CUMULATIVE OF
PRIOR ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH,
TEXAS
SECTION 1
That in addition to those amounts allocated to the various City departments for Fiscal Year 2005-
2006 in the Budget of the City Manager there shall also be increased appropriations in the Culture
and Tourism Fund in the amount of $30,210 and decreasing the unreserved fund balance by the
same amount, for the purpose of transferring said funds to the Specially Funded Capital Projects
Fund
SECTION 2
That should any portion, section or part of a section of this ordinance be declared invalid,
inoperative or void for any reason by a court of competent jurisdiction, such decision, opinion or
judgment shall in no way impair the remaining portions, sections, or parts of sections of this
ordinance, which said remaining provisions shall be and remain in full force and effect.
SECTION 3
That this ordinance shall be cumulative of Ordinance No 16582 and all other ordinances and
appropriations amending the same except in those instances where the provisions of this ordinance
are in direct conflict with such other ordinances and appropriations, in which instance said
conflicting provisions of said prior ordinances and appropriations are hereby expressly repealed
SECTION 4
This ordinance shall take effect upon adoption

Adopt Appropriation Ordinances and Authorize Execution of a Contract with A. N A. Consultants
LLC for Property Ownership and Floodplain Determination and Survey of Rodeo Plaza
RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the City Council
1 Adopt the attached appropriation ordinance increasing appropriations in the Culture and Tourism Fund
by $30,210 and decreasing the unreserved fund balance by the same amount;
2. Authorize the transfer of $30 210 from the Culture and Tourism Fund to the Specially Funded Capital
Projects Fund
3 Adopt the attached appropriation ordinance increasing estimated receipts and appropriations in the
Specially Funded Capital Projects Fund by $30 210 from available funds, and
4 Authorize the City Manager to execute a contract in the amount of $25,210 with A. N A. Consultants,
LLC for the property ownership and floodplain determination and survey of Rodeo Plaza from East
Exchange Blvd on the south to Stockyards Blvd on the north
DISCUSSION
On May 3 2005 (M8~C C-20692) the City Council approved a delivery order under the City's Annual
Architectural Services Agreement with Huitt Zollars Inc. for design services to develop a more pedestrian-
friendly Rodeo Plaza The MSC authorized $31 700 for design and $8 000 for project management and
contingencies, for a total of $39 700 On November 1 2005 (M&C C-21115) for $69 600 for the revised
design scope is being submitted
The property ownership and floodplain determination and survey are required to better determine the
project scope for the total Rodeo Plaza The cost of the property ownership and floodplain determination
and survey is $25,210 In addition to the contractual property ownership and floodplain determination and
survey costs $5 000 is included for contingencies and project management.
The revised total cost for design services, property determination floodplain determination and survey to
develop a more predestrian-friendly Rodeo Plaza is $139 510 The cost of the construction portion of the
renovation is contingent upon the scope of the final project development and design
A. N A. Consultants, LLC a certified MMBE firm is currently one of the four selected firms utilized on the
Annual Requirement Contract for professional land surveying services for various City projects.
This project is located in COUNCIL DISTRICT 2.

The Finance Director certifies that upon approval of the above recommendations and adoption of the
attached appropriation ordinances, funds will be available in the current capital budget, as appropriated of
