AN ORDINANCE EXTENDING THE BOUNDARY LIMITS
AND ANNEXING CERTAIN TERRITORY LYING ADJACENT
TO THE CITY OF FORT WORTH: PROVIDING THAT THE
ORDINANCE BE ADVERTISED IN A DAILY NEWSPAPER
PUBLISHED IN SAID CITY IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE
PROVISIONS OF SECTION 4o, CHAPTER XXVIII OF THE
CITY CHARTER: AND PRESCRIBING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS:
Section 1.
That the hereinafter described territory lying adjacent to the City
of Fort Worth is hereby annexed and brought within the corporate limits and
made an integral part of said City of Fort Worth, said territory being sit-
uated in Tarrant County, Texas, and being described by metes and bounds as
follows:
BEING a tract of land-ring approximately four
miles west of the County Courthouse in Fort Worth,
Tarrant County, Texas, and lying in the R. Bissett
and J. Kinder Surveys;
BEGINNING at a point in the present City of Fort
Worth city limits, said point being where the east
line of the J. Kinder Survey intersects the northeast-
erly line of Block C, Chamberlin Arlington Heights
Addition;
THENCE north along the present city limit line and
along the east line of the J. Kinder Survey to the
middle of the West Fork of the Trinity River;
THENCE in a southerly, westerly, and northerly
direction with the present city limits following the
middle of the West Fork of the Trinity River to a
point opposite the southerly line of Sunset Acres Ad-
dition;
THENCE in a southwesterly, westerly and north-
westerly direction along the present city limits and
along the southerly line of Sunset Acres Addition to
a point in the southwesterly line of Burton Hill Road;
THENCE southeasterly along the southerly line of
Burton Hill Road to a point where the northerly line of
Lot 15, Block 3, Northwest Addition extended southwest-
erly would intersect;
THENCE north 48011' east a distance of approximately
240 feet along the northerly line of Lot 15, Block 3,
Northcrest Addition extended southwesterly, and along the
northerly line of Lot 15 and Lot 14, Block 3, to a point;
THENCE north 770051 east a distance of 158.3';
THENCE south 810 .51 east a distance of 8+6.3';
THENCE south 880+01 east a distance of 301.61;
THENCE south 00051 east a distance of 37.0';
THENCE south 701+1 west a distance of 496.01;
THENCE south 570 west approximately 300 feet to a
point in the present city limit line in the northeasterly
line of Block C, Chamberlin Arlington Heights Addition;
THENCE in a northeasterly direction along the present
city limit line and along the northerly line of Block C1
Chamberlin Arlington Heights Addition to the point of be-
ginning and containing approximately 116 acres.
Section 2.
That this ordinance shall be published one time in The Fort Worth
Press, a daily newspaper published in the City of Fort Worth, in accordance
with the provisions of Section 40, Chapter XXVIII of the City Charter.
Section 3.
That this ordinance shall be and become effective and be in full
force and effect upon its final passage, which in no event shall be less
than thirty (30) days from the date of its publication, as aforesaid, and
it is so ordained.
