HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance 2131 ORDINANCE AN ORDINANCE REGULATING THE MOVEMENT OF VEHICULAR TRAFFIC UPON CERTAIN STREETS AND PARTS OF STREETS IN THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS; PROVIDING FOR THE REPEAL OF ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING A PENALTY FOR THE VIOLATION HEREOF. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS: SECTION 1. It shall be unlawful for the driver of any vehicle to drive upon the following streets and parts of streets except in the direction indicated: FIRST STREET: From its intersection with Lamar Street to its intersection with Commerce Street, traffic to move in an easterly direction. SECOND STREET: From its intersection with Commerce Street to its intersection with Lamar Street, traffic to move in a westerly direction. THIRD STREET: From its intersection with Lamar Street to its intersection with Commerce Street, traffic to move in an easterly direction. FOURTH STREET: From its intersection with Commerce Street to its intersection with Tamar Street, traffic to move in a westerly direction. FIFTH STREET: From its intersection with Tamar Street to its intersection with Commerce Street, traffic to move in an easterly direction. SIXTH STREET: From its intersection with Commerce Street to Lamar Street, traffic to move in a westerly direction. SEVENTH STREET:From its intersection with Lamar Street to its intersection with Commerce Street, traffic to move in an easterly direction. EIGHTH STREET: From its intersection with Commerce Street to its intersection with Throckmorton Street, traffic to move in a westerly direction. NINTH STREET: From its intersection with Throckmorton Street to its intersection with Commerce Street, traffic to move in an easterly 8lrection. SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be and is hereby declared to be cumulative of all other ordinances of the City of Fort Worth affecting traffic on its streets and shall not operate to repeal or affect any such ordinance or ordinances except insofar as the provision of such ordi— nance or ordinances are inconsistent or in conflict with the provisions of this ordinance, in which instance or instances those provisions shall be and they are hereby repealed. SECTION 3. Any person violating the terms of this ordinance shall,-upon the conviction thereof, be fined in any sum not to exceed One Hundred Dollars ($100.00). SECTION 4. This ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its passage and publication as provided by law. APPROVED AS To FORD: AND LMAUTY: vt� City Attorney.
