ORDINANCE ACCEPTING IMPROVEMENTS ON A PORTION OF CROCKETT,
NORJrOOD, BLEDSOE, CURRIE ASD MORTON STREETS AND DIRECTING
THE ISSUANCE AND DELIVERY OF CERTIFICATES IN EVIDENCE OF
SPECIAL ASSESSMENTS LEVIED.
WHERE, heretofore the City of Fort Worth entered into a contract with
General Construction Company for the making and constructing of certain street im-
provements on the following portions of streets in said City, to-Witt
CROCKETT STREET, from the easterly line of University Drive to the
westerly line of Norwood Street, known and designated as Unit No. 1.
NORWOOD STREET, from the northerly line of hest Lancaster Avenue to
the southerly line of Nest Seventh Street, known and designated as
Unit No. 2.
BLEDSOE STREET, from the easterly line of Norwood Street to the wester-
ly line of Foch Street, known and designated as Unit No. 3.
CURRIE STREET, from the northerly line of hest Lancaster Avenue to the
southerly line of Bledsoe Street, known and designated as Unit No. 4.
MORTON STREET, from the easterly line of Currie Street to the westerly
line of Foch Street, known and designated as Unit No. 5.
and.
WHEREAS, subsequent thereto by ordinance passed and approved by the City
Council assessments, payable to General Construction Company, were levied against the
abutting properties on said portions of streets and the owners thereof in payment of
a part of the cost of making and constructing such improvements; and,
WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works has filed his report with the City
Council to the effect that General Construction Company has completed the work of mak-
ing and constructing such improvements on said portion of street in strict accordance
with the contract, plans and specifications for such improvemouts, and based on such
report it is found that such improvements on said portion of street have been Inspect-
ed and found to be complete in accordance with the contract therefor; and.
WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works has found that certain of such
assessments are entitled to engineering credits and such credits are shown on report
of said Director of Public Yorks on file in the office of the City Secretary:
THEREFOR,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
FORT WORTH, TEES, THAT:
I.
The improvements on said portion of said street, be and they are hereby
accepted, and the contract with reference to the construction of such improvements
found and declared to be completed and performed by General Contraction Company.
II.
The Mayor be, and he is hereby, directed to issue and execute in the
name of the City certificates in evidence of the special assessments levied against
abutting properties and the owners thereof for such improvements (such certificates
as are entitled to credits thereon as per report of the Director of Public Works to
show such credits thereon) and the City Secretary is directed to execute same and
impress the corporate seal thereon, all in accordance with the proceedings relating
to such improvements and assessments, and such cerfificates when so executed shall
be delivered by the City Secretary to said General Construction Company.
III.
This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its
passage.

TO FINAL COMPLETION OF IMPROVEMENTS ON
CROCKETT STREET, NORWOOD STREET, BLEDSOE
STREET, CURRIE STREET, AND MORTON STREET
IN THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS,
TO THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH:
GENTLEMEN:
I beg to report that the General Construction
Company, to whom was awarded the Contract for the improve-
ment of the following portions of Streets, to-wit:
CROCKETT STREET, from the easterly line of Uni-
versity Drive to the westerly line of Norwood Street, known
and designated as Unit No. le
NORWOOD STREET, from the northerly line of West Lan-
caster Avenue to the southerly line of West Seventh Street,
known and designated as Unit No. 2.
BLEDSOE STREET, from the easterly line of Norwood
Street to the westerly line of Foch Street, known and de-
signated as Unit No. 3.
CURRIE STREET, from the northerly line of West
Lancaster Avenue to the southerly line of Bledsoe Street,
known and designated as Unit No. 4.
MORTON STREET, from the easterly line of Currie
Street to the westerly line of Foch Street, known and de-
signated as Unit No. 5-
has completed the said improvements in strict accordance
with the terms of said Contract and Specifications of said
work adopted by the City.
I hereby recommend that the said improvements be
finally accepted by the City Council.
