AN ORDINANCE EXTENDING THE BOUNDARY LIMITS AND ANNEXING
CERTAIN TERRITORY LYING ADJACENT TO THE CITY OF FORT WORTH;
PROVIDING THAT THE ORDINANCE BE ADVERTISED IN A DAILY NEWS-
PAPER FMISBED IN SAID CITY IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PRO-
VISIONS OF SECTION 40, CHAP'.CER XXVIII OF THE CITY CHARTER;
AND PRESCRIBING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
That the hereinafter described territory lying adjacent to the
City of Fort Worth is hereby annexed and brought within the corporate
limits and made an integral part of said City of Fort Worth, said terri-
tory being situated in Tarrant County, Texas, and being described by
metes and bounds as follows:
Beginning at a point in the present City of Fort Worth
city limit line along the westerly side of Meadowbrook
Country Club grounds at the northeast corner of Lot 1,
Maurice Scbmickle Subdivision;
Thence west and north along the present City of Fort
Worth city limit line to a point 200 feet south of the
south line of Ederville Road, or County Road J2059;
Thence in an easterly direction parallel to and 200
feet southerly from the southerly line of Edervill.e Road,
or County Road ,#2059, to a point in the westerly line of
Wilson Road;
Thence in a southeasterly direction to a point in the
present City of Fort Worth city limit line at a northwest
corner of the Meadowbrook Country Club grounds;
Thence in a southerly direction along the present city
limit line along the westerly side of the Meadowbrook
Country Club grounds to the place of beginning, containing
approximately 110 acres.
SECTION 2.
That this ordinance shall be published one time in The Fort Worth
Press, a daily newspaper published in the City of Fort Worth, in accordance
with the provisions of Section 40, Chapter XBVIII of the City Charter.
SECTION 3.
That this ordinance shall become effective and be in full force and
effect upon its final passage, which in no event shall be less than thirty
(30) days from the date of its publication as aforesaid, and it is so
ordained.
