OFFICIAL RECORD AN ORDINANCE EXTENDING THE BOUNDARY LIMITS AND CITY SECRETARY ANNEXING CERTAIN TERRITORY LYING ADJACENT TO THE CITY OF FORT WORTH; PROVIDING THAT THE ORDINANCE FT. WORTH, TEX. BE ADVERTISED IN A DAILY NEWSPAPER PUBLISHED IN SAID CITY IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PROVISIONS OF SECTION 40, CHAPTER XXVIII OF THE CITY CHARTER: AMENDING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; PRESCRIBING A SAVINGS CLAUSE AND SPECIFYING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS: Section 1. That the hereinafter described territory lying adjacent to the City of Fort Worth is hereby annexed and brought within the corporate limits and made an integral part of said City of Fort Worth, said territory being situated in Tarrant County, Texas, and being described by metes and bounds as follows: BEING a tract of land about 9 miles southwest from the Court House of Tarrant County, Texas, and lying in and including all or part of the J. W. Williams, E. Littlepage and I. Flores Surveys, and being more fully described as follows: BEGINNING at a point in the present City Limit Line of the City of Fort Worth, in the west right-of-way line of County Road No. 1035, at its intersection with the south line of the J. M. B. Smith Survey; THENCE southerly, southwesterly, southerly, westerly, and southerly, along the westerly, northwesterly, westerly, northerly, and westerly right-of-way line of County Road No. 1035, with its meanders, to its intersection with the south line of the I. Flores Survey; THENCE westerly, along the south line of the I. Flores Survey to its intersection with the west line of the E. Littlepage Survey produced southerly; THENCE northerly, along the west line of the E. Littlepage Survey produced southerly and along the west line of the E. Littlepage Survey to the northwest corner of the E. Littlepage Survey; THENCE easterly, along the north line of the E. Littlepage Survey to its intersection with the east line of the Russom Ranch Reservoir as shown on page 758-C of the City Tax Maps, produced south; THENCE northerly, along the east line of the Russom Ranch Reservoir site as shown on page 758-C of the City Tax Maps, produced south, to its intersection with the south line of the B. W. Gunn Survey produced east, the present City Limit Line of the City of Fort Worth; THENCE east, along the present City Limit Line of the City of Fort Worth, the south line of the B. W. Gunn Survey produced east to its intersection with the easterly west line of the J. M. B. Smith Survey; THENCE south, along the present City Limit Line of the City of Fort Worth, the easterly west line of the J. M. B. Smith Survey to the most southerly southwest corner of the J. M. B. Smith Survey; THENCE east, along the present City Limit Line of the City of Fort Worth, the south line of the J. M. B. Smith Survey to theplace of be- ginning and containing approximately 1.13 square miles. Section 2. That this ordinance shall and does hereby amend every prior ordinance in conflict herewith, and more particularly this ordinance expressly amends Ordinance No. 4679, heretofore adopted and passed on July 23, 1962, but as to all other ordi- nances or sections of ordinances not in direct conflict herewith this ordinance shall be and is hereby, made cumulative. Section 3. That this ordinance shall be published one time in a daily newspaper published in the City of Fort Worth, in accordance with the provisions of Section 40, Chapter XXVIII of the City Charter. Section 4. If any section, subsection, clause, sentence, phrase, or word of this ordinance is for any reason held void or unconstitutional by a court of competent jurisdiction, such invalidity shall not affect the validity of the remaining sections, subsections, clauses, sentences, phrases or words, except as the same are inseparable from and indispensable to the remaining portions of the ordinance. Section S. That this ordinance shall become effective and be in full force and effect upon its final passage, which in no event shall be less than thirty (30) days from the date of its publications, as aforesaid, and it is so ordained. f PRESENTED AND PASSED on first reading Monday, -tire A.D., 1963.
