AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING THAT THE PORTION OF THE
ALLEY IN BLOCK 18, FRISCO HEIGHTS ADDITION TO
THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TARRANT COUNTY, TEXAS,
FROM THE SOUTH LINE OF LOTS 7 AND 12 IN SAID
BLOCK SOUTH TO LOWDEN STREET, BE ABANDONED,
VACATED AND CLOSED; PROVIDING FOR THE REVERSION
OF THE INTEREST OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH IN
SAID LAND; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT
HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
FORT WORTH, TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
That the portion of the alley in Block 18, Frisco
Heights Addition to the City of Fort Worth, Tarrant County,
Texas, from the south line of Lots 7 and 12 in said Block
south to Lowden Street, be and the same is hereby vacated,
closed and permanently abandoned as an alley or public
thoroughfare of any kind or character whatever.
SECTION 2.
That the interest of the City of Fort Worth in the
fee to the land in said portion of the alley is hereby re-
leased and shall revert to the adjacent owners of the fee
as provided by law, save and except that easements are re-
served for any and all existing utilities.
SECTION 3.
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION 4.
That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full
force and effect from and after the date of its passage.

REED Mr. Allen E. -Garrity and Mr. E. H. Huckabee, Jr. have requested the
�✓ vacation of the alley ten (10) feet in width from the south line of
Lots 7 and 12, Block 18, Frisco Heights, south to Lowden Street.
This alley is not open on the ground, and abandonment of this alley
will permit replatting of the abutting lots into one tract.
The City Departments and private utility companies have reviewed the
request and have voiced no objection to the proposed vacation. The
City Plan Commission has reviewed the subject request and recommends
adoption of an ordinance vacating the alley as requested, subject to
retaining the alley as an easement for existing utilities.
City Council action on the City Plan Commission recommendation is
requested.
