AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING THAT THE PORTION OF BOMAR AVE-
NUE SOUTH OF LOT 12, BLOCK 23, SYCAMORE HEIGHTS AD-
DITION TO THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TARRANT COUNTY,
TEXAS, BE VACATED, ABANDONED AND CLOSED; PROVIDING
FOR THE REVERSION OF THE INTEREST OF THE CITY OF FORT
WORTH IN SAID LAND; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CON-
FLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
WORTH, TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
That the hereinafter described portion of Bomar Avenue
south of Lot 12, Block 23, Sycamore Heights Addition to the
City of Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas, according to plat
recorded in Vol. 309, page 11, Plat Records of Tarrant County,
Texas, be and the same is hereby closed, abandoned and permanent-
ly vacated as a street or public thoroughfare of any kind or
character whatever:
BEGINNING at the intersection of the North line
of Bomar Avenue with the West line of Hudson Street
and being the southeast corner of said Lot 12, Block
23, Sycamore Heights Addition;
THENCE N 850 09' W 150.0 feet along the South line
of said Lot 12 and the North line of Bomar Avenue to
the southwest corner of said Lot 12 for corner;
THENCE South 10.04 feet to a point for corner
being 10.0 feet South of the South line of Lot 12;
THENCE S 850 09' E 10.0 feet from and parallel
to the South line of said Lot 12 a distance of 110.0
feet to a point for corner;
THENCE N 800 40' E 40.35 feet to the point of be-
ginning, and containing 1294 square feet.
SECTION 2.
That the interest of the City of Fort Worth in the fee to
the land in said street is hereby released and shall revert to
the adjacent owner of the fee as provided by law.
SECTION 3.
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION 4.
That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force
and effect from and after the date of its passage.

"RDY sucKA, N Jim Bob Simmons , owner of Lot 12, Block 23, Sycamore Heights Addition, has
requested that the City vacate a portion of Bomar Avenue right-of-way
adjacent to the south line of said Lot 12 as shown on the attached map.
The area requested to be vacated is 150 feet long and approximately
10 feet wide at its widest point and contains 1,294 square feet.
The subject right-of-way, acquired by dedication, is a portion of the
parkway of Bomar Avenue. Bomar Avenue functions as a minor residential
street and no more than 50 feet of right-of-way is needed. The existing
right-of-way is 70 feet wide. City departments and private utility
companies have reviewed this request and have no objection to this vacation
provided the applicant plats the vacated right-of-way with adjoining property.
The City Plan Commission has reviewed this request and recommends adoption of
an ordinance vacating the public right-of-way as requested subject to the
condition recommended above by the City departments and private utility
companies.
The applicant has submitted a satisfactory replat.
Recommendation
It is recommended that an ordinance be adopted vacating the subject right-
of-way of Bomar Avenue as recommended by the City Plan Commission.
