AN ORDINANCE INCREASING THE ESTIMATED RECEIPTS AND
APPROPRIATIONS IN THE AIRPORT GRANTS FUND IN THE AMOUNT OF
$500,000.00, SUBJECT TO RECEIPT OF THE GRANT FROM THE TEXAS
DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION, FOR THE PURPOSE OF PARTIAL
REIMBURSEMENT FOR DESIGN OF THE ADIVIINISTRATION BUILDING AT
MEACHAM INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT; PROVIDING FOR A
SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; MAILING THIS ORDINANCE CUMULATIVE OF
PRIOR ORDINANCES; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT
HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
That in addition to those amounts allocated to the various City departments for Fiscal Year 2015-2016 in the
Budget of the City Manager, there shall also be increased estimated receipts and appropriations in the
Airport Grants Fund in the amount of $500,000.00, subject to receipt of the grant from the Texas
Department of Transportation, for the purpose of partial reimbursement for design of the Administration
Building at Meacham International Airport.
SECTION 2.
That should any portion, section or part of a section of this ordinance be declared invalid, inoperative or
void for any reason by a court of competent jurisdiction, such decision, opinion or judgment shall in no way
impair the remaining portions, sections, or parts of sections of this ordinance, which said remaining
provisions shall be and remain in full force and effect.
SECTION 3.
That this ordinance shall be cumulative of Ordinance No. 21873-09-2015 and all other ordinances and
appropriations amending the same except in those instances where the provisions of this ordinance are in
direct conflict with such other ordinances and appropriations, in which instance said conflicting provisions
of said prior ordinances and appropriations are hereby expressly repealed.
SECTION 4.
This ordinance shall take effect upon adoption.

Authorize Application for and Acceptance of, if Awarded, a Grant from the Texas Department of
Transportation in the Amount of$500,000.00 for Partial Reimbursement of Design of the Meacham
Administration Building at Fort Worth Meacham International Airport, Adopt Resolution Providing for Same
and Adopt Appropriation Ordinance (COUNCIL DISTRICT 2)
RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the City Council:
1. Authorize the application for and acceptance of, if awarded, a grant from the Texas Department of
Transportation for partial reimbursement of design of the Meacham Administration Building at Fort Worth
Meacham International Airport, in the amount of$500,000.00;
2. Adopt the attached resolution authorizing the City Manager to execute all necessary documents for the
application and acceptance of the grant, if awarded; and
3. Adopt the attached appropriation ordinance increasing estimated receipts and appropriations in the
Airport Grants Fund in the amount of$500,000.00, subject to receipt of the grant.
DISCUSSION:
The City of Fort Worth has received a grant offer from the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT)
for the maximum allowable amount of$500,000.00, which will provide partial cost reimbursement for the
design of the Meacham Administration Building at Fort Worth Meacham International Airport.
On May 11, 2010 (M&C C-24215), the City Council authorized an Architectural Services Agreement (City
Secretary Contract No. 40243) with Hahnfeld, Hoffer and Stanford for programming and schematic design
to renovate and expand the Meacham Administration Building at Fort Worth Meacham International
Airport. This contract and its amendments bring the current design costs to $1,998,548.00.

AVIATION ADVISORY BOARD APPROVAL - The Aviation Advisory Board approved this action on
January 16, 2014.
Fort Worth Meacham International Airport is located in COUNCIL DISTRICT 2, Mapsco 48P.
FISCAL INFORMATION I CERTIFICATION:
The Financial Management Services Director certifies that upon approval of the above recommendations,
receipt of the reimbursement grant and adoption of the attached appropriation ordinance, funds will be
available in the current capital budget, as appropriated, of the Airport Grants Fund.
