RE: REVISED Contract Amendment No. 2, Main 207/207A Drainage Area, Sanitary Sewer
System Rehabilitation and Improvements, (Group 3, Contract 5), Part 3
Project No. PS46-070460410120, DOE No. 2090
WADE File No. 9810
Dear Mr. Chaubey:
Please review and approve the revised second contract amendment to the aforementioned project
contract. I have addressed your comments and the table reflects final amendment adjustments. This
amendment accounts for additional work beyond the original scope of work including the integration
of new Standard Specifications and addressing various design changes associated with them, the re-
bid of the project and the recovery of prior printing costs above the budgeted amount in the contract.
The costs associated with the re-printing of the bid documents, development of mylar originals and
the production of State Revolving Fund documents are itemized below. Specifically, we are seeking
approval of the following additional work items in this amendment request as described below:
Contract Reference: Attachment A-1 to the Contract, Design Services: Final Pipeline and
Manhole Rehabilitation (Group A)
• The Incorporation of numerous City directed revisions into the Plans and Contract
Documents and Addressing Miscellaneous Items Associated the Project Re-bid.
Since this project had to be re-bid due to the rejection of the bids by the City, Under the above
referenced contract element, WADE had to incorporate numerous specification changes that the
City is requiring on new projects. This situation required us to edit the project plan/profile
sheets (CAD edits) and the selected revision of the contract documents/specifications and to re-
plot of those plan sheets. Also included is the recovery of costs associated with the re-negotiation
of the existing right of entry agreement with the Shady Oaks Country Club, as well as addressing
various property owner issues associated with L-2852A that arose recently. Finally, the table
also recovers costs associated with the bid process, including the construction administration
phase. The table below reflects the staff hours and miscellaneous costs associated with this work
item.

recent printing costs associated with the re-bid of the project ($2,274.03 to Hugo Trevino &
Associates) as well as the recovery of$1,769.45 in reproduction costs previously incurred from Jim's
Reproduction and Hugo Trevino. The amount above also includes monies to generate final project
mylars and State Revolving Fund plan sets. Upon request, we will provide copies of subcontractor
payments made or the M/WBE office can be contacted for verification of subcontractor payments.
Therefore, we are requesting Revised Contract Amendment No. 2 in the amount of$ 13,146.16 to the

$ 95,233.50, representing an increase of approximately sixteen percent (16.01%). Please do not
hesitate to contact me should you have any questions or need any background information
concerning this matter. Thank you for your time and consideration.
