AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 7203 BY
INCREASING THE MEMBERSHIP OF THE CITIZENS '
UTILITY BOARD TO NINE (9) MEMBERS AND PROVID-
ING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
FORT WORTH, TEXAS :
SECTION 1.
That Section l of Fort Worth Ordinance No. 7203 be
amended to increase the size of the advisory utility board
to nine (9) members and after amendment said section to read
as follows :
"The City Council may appoint an advisory utility
board composed of nine (9) citizens of the City of
Fort Worth to act in an advisory capacity to the
City Manager, his staff and the City Council in
connection with the review of utility rate applica-
tions. The members of such advisory board shall
each serve for a two year term, shall serve without
compensation, and may be removed at any time by the
City Council. "
SECTION 2 .
That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after the date of its passage.

The City Council has expressed an interest in adding two additional
members to the Citizens' Utility_ Board, thereby increasing total
membership to nine citizens. Ordinance No. 7203, adopted by the City
Council on July 28, 1975, provides for the establishment of a Citizens'
Utility Board composed of seven citizens.
Recommendation
It is recommended that an ordinance be adopted amending Ordinance
No. 7203 and increasing membership on the Citizens' Utility Board
to nine members.
