Council which hears requests and issues concerning the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG)
funds, received by the City of Fort Worth from the U S Department of Housing and Urban Development
.(HUD)
The last update of the CDC's Ordinance occurred on April 12, 1994 1t was under this amendment that the
CDC's scope was narrowed to the review of the CDBG grant process. The change in the CDC's role was to
reflect the organizational restructuring at the time
Since 1994 the City of Fort Worth has received the Emergency Shelter Grant (ESG) and the Housing
Opportunities of Persons with HIV/AIDS Grant (HOPWA) The current ordinance allows the CDC to only
review the CDBG grant process. Under this amendment, the CDC will continue to review the CDBG grant
process and include the ESG and HOPWA grant processes.
