HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance 16065cy- ~~y~s Ordinance No AN ORDINANCE INCREASING ESTIMATED RECEIPTS AND APPROPRIATIONS IN THE SPECIAL TRUST FUND IN THE AMOUNT OF $36 000 FROM AVAILABLE FUNDS FOR THE PURPOSE OF FUNDING THE OPERATION OF THE 2004 PARKS AND COMMUNITY SERVICES SUMMER DAY CAMP AT COMO COMMUNITY CENTER, MAKING THIS ORDINANCE CUMULATIVE OF PRIOR ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH• AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH TEXAS SECTION 1 That in addition to those amounts allocated to the various City departments for Fiscal Year 2003- 2004 in the Budget of the City Manager there shall also be increased estimated receipts and appropriations in the Special Trust Fund in the amount of $36 000 from available funds for the purpose of funding the operation of the 2004 Parks and Community Services Summer day Camp at Como Community Center SECTION 2. That should any portion, section or part of a section of this ordinance be declared invalid, inoperative or void for any reason by a court of competent jurisdiction such decision, opinion or judgment shall in no way impair the remaining portions, sections, or parts of sections of this ordinance which said remaining provisions shall be and remain in full force and effect. SECTION 3. That this ordinance shall be cumulative of Ordinance No 15636 and all other ordinances and appropriations amending the same except in those instances where the provisions of this ordinance are in direct conflict with such other ordinances and appropriations, in which instance said conflicting provisions of said prior ordinances and appropriations are hereby expressly repealed SECTION 4 This ordinance shall take effect upon adoption P OVED AS TO FORM AND LEGALITY Assistan City Attorney ADOPTED AND EFFECTIVE. p City of Fort Worth, Texas Mayor and Council Communication --_ COUNCIL ACTION Approved on 8/10/2004 Ordinance #16065 DATE Tuesday August 10 2004 LOG NAME 80CARTER04 REFERENCE NO G 14456 SUBJECT Acceptance of Grant from the Amon G Carter Foundation to Assist in Funding the Parks and Community Services 2004 Summer Day Camp at the Como Community Center RECOMMENDATION It is recommended that the City Council 1 Authorize the City Manager to accept a grant in the amount of $36 000 from the Amon G Carter Foundation to supplement the operation of the 2004 Parks and Community Services Summer Day Camp at Como Community Center and 2. Adopt the attached appropriation ordinance increasing estimated receipts and appropriations in the special trust fund by $36 000 from available funds DISCUSSION In an effort to meet the increasing needs of the residents of the Como community the Amon G Carter Foundation has partnered with the Como Community Center In 2003 the central focus of the Carter Foundation became the Summer Day Camp Program which is operated through the Parks and Community Services Department at the Como Community Center The Amon G Carter Foundation has awarded the Como Community Center a grant in the amount of $36 000 to assist in this effort.
