DISCUSSION Steve Hawkins, 7755 Bellaire Drive South Fort Worth Texas the owner of the above referenced subdivision has requested a name change for the aforementioned street to reduce public confusion with the adjacent street extension and to maximize locational accessability for emergency services dispatching Pursuant to Texas state statute a public hearing must precede the ordinance adoption of the proposed name change Notice to property owners within 300 feet of said street boundaries was mailed on January 12 2004 A copy of the notice is attached as Exhibit B The Engineeering Department, Real Property Services Division states that a fee of $1 00 will satisfy the public interest. Reviewing public utility companies and City departments including fire, police and emergency services have endorsed this request. A replat is not required This request is located in COUNCIL DISTRICT 7 FISCAL INFORMATION/CERTIFICATION The Finance Director certifies that this action will have no material effect on City funds, and the applicant is required to pay all costs associated with the replacement street signs.
