AN ORDINANCE INCREASING ESTIMATED RECECPTS AND APPROPRIATIONS IN
THE SPECIAL TRUST FUND IN THE AMOUNT OF $25,000.00 FROM AVAILABLE
FUNDS FOR THE PUBLIC EVENTS DEPARTMENT FOR THE PURPOSE OF
IMPROVING CONCESSION OPERATIONS, PURCHASES OF IMPROVEMENTS OR
EQUIPMENT AND FOR THE ADVERTISING, MARKETING AND PROMOTION OF THE
CITY OF FORT WORTH PUBLIC EVENTS FACILITIES; PROVIDING FOR A
SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; MAKING THIS ORDINANCE CUMULATIVE OF PRIOR
ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS:
SECTION 1
That in addition to those amounts allocated to the various City departments for Fiscal Year 2008-2009, there
shall also be increased estimated receipts and appropriations in the Special Trust Fund in the amount of
$25,000.00 from available funds for the Public Events Department for the purpose of improving concession
operations, purchases of improvements or equipment and for the advertising, marketing and promotion of
the City of Port Worth public events facilities.
SECTION 2.
That should any portion, section or part of a section of this ordinance be declared invalid, inoperative or void
for any reason by a court of competent jurisdiction, such decision, opinion or judgment shall in no way
impair the remaining portions, sections, or parts of sections of this ordinance, which said remaining
provisions shall be and remain in full farce and effect.
SECTION 3.
That this ordinance shall be cumulative of Ordinance No. 18283 and ail other ordinances and appropriations
amending the same except in those instances where the provisions of this ordinance are in direct conflict
with such other ordinances and appropriations, in which instance said conflicting provisions of said prior
ordinances and appropriations are hereby expressly repealed.
SECTION 4.
This ordinance shall take effect upon adoption.

Adoption of Supplemental Appropriation Ordinance Allocating Contractual Payment from Aramark Sports
and Entertainment Services of Texas, Inc., to the Public Events Department Special Trust Fund
RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the City Council:
1. Adopt the attached appropriation ordinance increasing estimated receipts and appropriations by
$25,000.00 in the Special Trust Fund from available funds; and
2. Authorize the use of these funds as outlined below in accardanoe with the City's purchasing and
expenditure guidelines.
DISCUSSION:
On August 25, 2005, (city Secretary Contract No. 32248} the Public Events Department, WiII Rogers
Memorial Center entered into afive-year contract with Aramark Sports and Entertainment Services of
Texas, Inc., (Aramark} to provide food and beverage concession services at the Will Rogers Memorial
complex. The contract is for afive-year term and includes five one-year renewal terms at the City's option.
Article 14 of the contract provides for Aramark to pay the City $25,000.00 per year during the term of the
contract. These payments shall be placed in a separate fund and used for the purposes of improving
concession operations, purchases of improvements or equipment and for the advertising, marketing, and
promotion of usage of Gity of Fort Worth public events facilities.
FISCAL INFORMATION t CERTIFlCATIO_N:
The Financial Management Services Director certifies that upon adoption of the attached appropriation
ordinance, funds will be available in the current operating budget, as appropriated, of the Special Trust
Fund.
