ORDINANCE NO l~I~
AN ORDINANCE VACATING AND EXTINGUISHING AN ALLEY LOCATED
ALONG THE REAR OF LOTS 6 THROUGH 14, BLOCK 182, IN THE
AETNA LAND COMPANY SUBDIVISION OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH
TEXAS PROVIDING FOR REVERSION OF FEE IN SAID LAND
REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH
TEXAS
SECTION 1
THAT a 5-foot wide alley across a 16 5-foot alley and along the rear of Lots 6
through 14 Block 182 Aetna Land Company Subdivision and M G Ellis Addition Fort
Worth Texas as recorded in Volume 106 Page 96 Plat Records of Tarrant County
Texas and containing approximately 2,326 square feet, and as more specifically described
in Exhibits A and B attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference be and the same
is vacated and extinguished
SECTION 2.
That the fee'to the land in the above described vacated alley is hereby released and
shall revert to the adjacent owner as provided by law
SECTION 3.
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed
SECTION 4.
That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect from and afterthe
date of its passage and it is so ordained

Being a five (5) feet wide alley along a portion of Block 182 as shown on the plat of Aetna Land
Company's Subdivision of North Fort Worth according to the plat recorded m Volume 106 Page
96 Plat Records of Tarrant County Texas, said 5 feet wide alley being more particulary described.
as follows
BEGINNING at the northeast corner of Lot 14 Block 182 of said subdivision,
THENCE N 89° 51 27 E, 5 00 feet to the northeast corner of said alley
THENCE S 00° 25' 32 E, 466.29 feet to the northeast corner of Lot 5 of said Block 182 and being
m the south line of said 5 alley
THENCE S 89° 34 28 W 5 00 feet along the north line of Lot 5 and the south line of said alley
THENCE N 00° 25 32 W along the east end of a vacated 16.5 feet wide alley (vacated by City
Ordinance No 720) and along the east line of Lot 6 through Lot 14 and along the west line of said
alley 465.33 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING and containing 0 OS of an acre or 2,326 square feet
of land.

RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the City Council adopt the attached ordinance vacating a 5-foot wide by 465-
foot long alley located between NW 21st Street and NE 14th Street, and west of North Grove Street,
and along the rear of Lots 6 through 14 Block 182, Aetna Land Company Subdivision and M G Ellis
Addition Fort Worth Texas, as recorded in Volume 106 Page 96 plat Records, Tarrant County
Texas containing approximately 2 326 square feet.
DISCUSSION
ADCORP INC Raul Rios, Jose C Aquilera Rosa G Aquilera and the Fort Worth Independent School
District, owners of the above described and adjacent properties have requested vacation of the above
referenced alley to facilitate replatting with adjoining land Existing improvements include telephone
lines, fences paving electric lines sewer and gas lines. Appropriate utility easements will be retained
The Plan Commission recommended approval at it's public hearing on January 23 2002
The Engineering Department, Real Property Services Division states that a fee of $232 60 was paid
Reviewing City departments have raised no objections to this request. An acceptable replat has been
received (FS-02-032)
This request is located in COUNCIL DISTRICT 2
