AN ORDINANCE INCREASING ESTIMATED RECEIPTS AND APPROPRIATIONS
IN THE SPECIAL TRUST FUND IN THE AMOUNT OF $192,582 FROM
AVAILABLE FUNDS FOR THE PURPOSE OF FUNDING THE OPERATION AND
MAINTENANCE OF BURNETT PARK FOR FISCAL YEAR 2001-2002; MAKING
THIS ORDINANCE CUMULATIVE OF PRIOR ORDINANCES AND REPEALING
ALL PRIOR ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
That in addition to those amounts allocated to the various City departments for Fiscal Year 2001-02 in the
Budget of the City Manager, there shall also be increased estimated receipts and appropriations in the Special
Trust Fund in the amount of $192,582 from available funds for the purpose of funding the operation and
maintenance of Burnett Park for Fiscal Year 2001-2002.
SECTION 2.
That should any portion, section or part of a section of this ordinance be declared invalid, inoperative or void
for any reason by a court of competent jurisdiction, such decision, opinion or judgment shall in no way impair
the remaining portions, sections, or parts of sections of this ordinance, which said remaining provisions shall
be and remain in full force and effect.
SECTION 3.
That this ordinance shall be cumulative of Ordinance No. 14745 and all other ordinances and appropriations
amending the same except in those instances where the provisions of this ordinance are in direct conflict with
such other ordinances and appropriations, in which instance said conflicting provisions of said prior
ordinances and appropriations are hereby expressly repealed.
SECTION 4.
This ordinance shall take effect upon adoption.

THE OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE OF BURNETT PARK FOR FISCAL YEAR
2001 2002 AND ADOPTION OF RELATED APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE
RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the City Council
1 Accept a contribution from Downtown Fort Worth Inc. in the amount of $192,582, for the operation
and maintenance of Burnett Park for FY2001 2002, and
2 Adopt the attached appropriation ordinance increasing estimated receipts and appropriations by
$192 582 in the Special Trust Fund from available funds
DISCUSSION
Downtown Fort Worth Inc. has authorized a contribution to the City of Fort Worth in the amount of
$192,582 to offset the expenses associated with operating Burnett Park for cone-year period which
began October 1 2001 Payments of $96,291 will be received on March 15 2002 and August 15
2002
The contribution amount covers all park maintenance Also included in the contribution amount are
funds to cover water treatment chemicals, mechanical repairs and utilities special seasonal lighting
three seasonal flower plantings and winter over-seeding of turf All labor costs associated with the
work outlined above are funded by this gift.
Burnett Park is located in COUNCIL DISTRICT 9
FISCAL INFORMATION/CERTIFICATION
The Finance Director certifies that upon approval of the above recommendation No 1 and adoption of
the attached appropriation ordinance funds will be available in the current operating budget, as
appropriated of the Special Trust Fund
