AN ORDINANCE VACATING AND EXTINGUISHING A 15-FOOT WIDE BY
347.58-FOOT LONG ALLEY LOCATED BETWEEN LOTS 1 AND 9,
ANDERSON'S SUBDIVISION, LOTS 1 THROUGH 5, 6A AND 7A, CORA
SMITH ADDITION, AND LOTS 1 THROUGH 3, ROBERT E. LEE
ANDERSON'S SUBDIVISION OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS,
PROVIDING FOR REVERSION OF FEE IN SAID LAND, REPEALING ALL
ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH, AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH,
TEXAS
SECTION 1
THAT the 15-foot wide by 347 58-foot long alley situated between Lots 1 and 9,
Anderson's Subdivision, as recorded in Volume 388-D, Page 556, Plat Records, Tarrant
County, Texas, Lots 1 through 5, 6A and 7A, Cora Smith Addition, as recorded in Volume
388, Page 43, Plat Records, Tarrant County, Texas, and lots 1 through 3, Robert E Lee
Anderson Subdivision, as recorded in Volume 388-D, Page 556, Plat Records, Tarrant
County, Texas, and containing 5,214 square feet, and as more specifically described in
Exhibit A attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference be and the same is
vacated and extinguished
SECTION 2.
That the fee to the land in the above described vacated alley is hereby released and
shall revert to the adjacent owner as provided by law
SECTION 3
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed

That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect from and after the
date of its passage, and it is so ordained

BEING all of that 15 00 wide alley in the Cora Smith Addition as recorded in Volume 605, Page 527, Plat
Records, Tarrant County Texas, and the Robert E.Lee Anderson's Subdivision as recorded in Volume 388-
D, Page 556, Plat Records, Tarrant County, Texas, and a portion of that 15 00' wide alley in the Anderson's
Subdivision as recorded in Volume 388, Page 43, Plat Records, Tarrant County, Texas,and being more
particularly described_by metes and bounds as_follows:
BEGINNING at a 1/2" iron rod found, said point being the southwest corner of Lot 9 Anderson's
Subdivision as recorded in Volume 388, Page 43 Plat Records, Tarrant County, Texas;
THENCE South 89 degrees 56 minutes 57 seconds East a distance of 347.58 feet to a point for a corner,
said point being the southeast corner of Lot 2, Robert E. Lee Anderson's Subdivision as recorded in
Volume 388-D, Page 556, Plat Records, Tarrant County, Texas
THENCE South 00 degrees 03minutes 03 seconds West, along the west property line of said Robert E. Lee
Anderson's Subdivision, a distance of 15.00 feet to a point for a corner, said point being the northeast
corner of Lot 1 of said Robert E. Lee Anderson's Subdivision;
THENCE North 89 degrees.56 minutes 57 seconds West, a distance of 347.58 feet to a point for a corner,

RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the City Council adopt the attached ordinance vacating a 15-foot wide by
347 58-foot long alley between Lots 1 and 9, Anderson's Subdivision, as recorded in Volume 388-D,
Page 556, Plat Records, Tarrant County, Texas, Lots 1 through 5, 6A and 7A, Cora Smith Addition, as
recorded in Volume 388, Page 43, Plat Records, Tarrant County, Texas, and Lots 1 through 3, Robert
E Lee Anderson's Subdivision, as recorded in Volume 388-D, Page 556, Plat Records, Tarrant County,
Texas, containing 5,214 square feet
DISCUSSION
The Fort Worth Independent School District, owner of the above described adjacent properties, has
requested vacation of the above referenced alley to construct a football and track field Existing
improvement include electric and sewer lines
The Plan Commission recommended approval at it's public hearing on January 23, 2002.
The Engineering Department, Real Property Services Division states that a fee of $1 00 will satisfy the
public interest. Reviewing City departments and public utility companies have raised no objections to
this request. A replat is required
This request is located in COUNCIL DISTRICT 8
