AN ORDINANCE VACATING AND EXTINGUISHING FOUR
UTILITY EASEMENTS LOCATED IN LOT 15, BLOCK 24, IN
LOTS 16 AND 17, BLOCK 24, AND IN LOT 29, BLOCK 40, THE
VILLAGES OF WOODLAND SPRINGS ADDITION, FORT
WORTH, TEXAS, CONTAINING APPROXIMATELY 0 003
ACRES, 0.012 ACRES, 0 024 ACRES AND 0 006 ACRES,
RESPECTIVELY; PROVIDING FOR REVERSION OF FEE IN
SAID LAND, REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT
HEREWITH, AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
WORTH, TEXAS
SECTION 1.
That the following four utility easements,
A Five Foot (5) Wide Utility Easement, situated in the Jose Chirino Survey,
Abstract Number 265, being a portion of Lot 15, Block 24, The Villages of
Woodland Springs, an addition to the City of Fort Worth, as recorded in
Cabinet A, Slide 6152, Plat Records of Tarrant County, Texas, containing
0 003 acres of land,
Two Utility Easements, situated in the Jose Chirino Survey, Abstract Number
265, being portions of Lot 16 and 17, Block 24, The Villages of Woodland
Springs, an addition to the City of Fort Worth, as recorded in Cabinet A, Slide
6152, Plat Records of Tarrant County, Texas and containing 0 012 and 0 024
acres of land respectively;
A 2.5 Foot Wide Utility Easement, situated in the Jose Chirino Survey,
Abstract Number 265, being a portion of Lot 29, Block 40, The Villages of
Woodland Springs, an addition to the City of Fort Worth, as recorded in
Cabinet A, Slide 6152, Plat Records of Tarrant County, Texas and containing
0 006 acres,
be and the same are vacated and extinguished
SECTION 2.
That the fee to the land in the above described vacated utility easements
is hereby released and shall revert to the adjacent owner as provided by law
SECTION 3.
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed
SECTION 4.
That this ordinance shall take effect upon adoption

the right;

RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the City Council:
1. Adopt the attached ordinance vacating a five -foot wide utility easement situated in the Jose Chirino
Survey, Abstract No. 265, being a portion of Lot 15, Block 24, The Villages of Woodland Springs, an
addition to the City of Fort Worth, as recorded in Cabinet A, Slide 6152, Plat Records of Tarrant
County, Texas, containing 0.003 acres of land; and
2. Adopt the attached ordinance vacating two utility easements situated in the Jose Chirino Survey,
Abstract No. 265, being portions of Lot 16 and 17, Block 24, The Villages of Woodland Springs, an
addition to the City of Fort Worth, as recorded in Cabinet A, Slide 6152, Plat Records of Tarrant
County, Texas, and containing 0.012 and 0.024 acres of land, respectively; and
3. Adopt the attached ordinance vacating a 2.5 -foot wide utility easement situated in the Jose Chirino
Survey, Abstract No. 265, being a portion of Lot 29, Block 40, The Villages of Woodland Springs, an
addition to the City of Fort Worth, as recorded in Cabinet A, Slide 6152, Plat Records of Tarrant
County, Texas, and containing 0.006 acres.
DISCUSSION:
Continental Homes, owner of the above described properties, has requested vacation of the referenced utility
easements to avoid home development encroachment. There are no known utilities in these easements.
The Engineering Department, Real Property Services Division states that a fee of $1.00 will satisfy the
public interest. Reviewing City departments and public utility companies have raised no objections to
this request. A replat is not required.
This easement is located in COUNCIL DISTRICT 4.
FISCAL INFORMATION /CERTIFICATION:
The Finance Director certifies that this action will have no material effect on City funds.
