ORDINANCE NO. ~~~~
AN ORDINANCE VACATING AND EXTINGUISHING A 20-FOOT WIDE BY
550-FOOT LONG ALLEY LOCATED ALONG LOTS 1 THROUGH 24,
BLOCK 102, IN THEM G. ELLIS ADDITION TO THE CITY OF FORT
WORTH, TEXAS, PROVIDING FOR REVERSION OF FEE IN SAID LAND;
REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH,
TEXAS•
SECTION 1
THAT a 20-foot wide by 550-foot long alley situated along Lots 1 through 24, Block
102, M G Ellis Addition, Fort Worth, Texas, and located between Elmwood Avenue and
East Jefferson Avenue, as recorded in Volume 63-A Pages 19 and 20, Plat Records, of
Tarrant County, Texas, and containing approximately 11,000 square feet, and as more
specifically described in Exhibits A and B attached hereto and incorporated herein by
reference be and the same is vacated and extinguished
SECTION 2.
That the fee to the land in the above described vacated alley is hereby released and
shall revert to the adjacent owner as provided by law
SECTION 3.
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed
SECTION 4.
That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full. force and effect from and afterthe
date of its passage, and it is so ordained

Being a 20 0 feet wide alley running through Block 102 of the M G Ellis Addition to the
City of Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas according to The Plat filed in Volume 63-A,
Pages, 19 & 20, Plat Records, Tarrant County, Texas, said 20 0 feet wide alley being more
particularly described by metes and bounds as follows
BEGINNING at the northwest corner of Lot 11, Block 102, said corner is now in the South
R.0 W line of Long Avenue, a 110 0 feet wide public street,
THENCE S 00°02'21 "E, 550 00 feet along the east line of said alley and along the west
line of Lots 1 through 11, Block 102, to the southwest corner of said Lot 1 and in the north
ROW line of N W 32nd Street, a 60 0 feet wide public street,
THENCE S 89°57'39" W, 20 0 feet along the south line of said alley and the north R O 1N
line of said N W 32nd Street to the southeast corner of Lot 24, Block 102,
THENCE N 00°02'21" W, 550 0 along the west line of Lots 14 through 24 to the northeast
corner of said Lot 14 and to the south R.O W line of Long Avenue,
THENCE N 89°57'39" E, 20 0 feet along the south R 0 W line of said Long Avenue to the

RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the City Council adopt the attached ordinance vacating a 20-foot wide by 550-
foot long alley located along Lots 1 through 24, Block 102, M G Ellis Addition, Fort Worth, Texas, and
located between Elmwood Avenue and East Jefferson Avenue, as recorded in Volume 63-A, Pages 19
and 20, Plat Records, Tarrant County, Texas, containing 11,000 square feet.
DISCUSSION
The Fort Worth Independent School District, owner of the above described adjacent properties, has
requested vacation of the referenced alley to facilitate the expansion of yard and building areas and to
replat with the adjoining land Existing improvements include fences and water and sanitary sewer
lines Appropriate utility easements will to be retained The Plan Commission recommended approval
at it's public hearing on March 27, 2002
The Engineering Department, Real Property Services Division states that a fee of $1 00 will satisfy the
public interest. Reviewing City departments and public utility companies have raised no objections to
this request A replat is required
This request is located in COUNCIL DISTRICT 8
