HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance 15212~: y N., Ot~_L8-02 P03 4'7 I ORDINANCE NO I~ ~~ AN ORDINANCE VACATING AND EXTINGUISHING THE 3200 BLOCK OF HEDRICK STREET, MEASURING 50 FEET WIDE BY 535 FEET LONG, LOCATED IN THE NORTH RIVERSIDE ESTATES, FORT WORTH, TEXAS, PROVIDING FOR REVERSION OF FEE IN SAID LAND, REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HERE-WITH, AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS SECTION 1 THAT the 3200 block of Hedrick Street, measuring 50 feet wide by 535 feet long, located within North Riverside Estates, Fort Worth, Texas, and containing 0 6141 acres, and as recorded in Volume 388-V, Page 115, of the Plat Records of Tarrant County, Texas, and as more specifically described in Exhibit A, attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference be and the same is vacated and extinguished SECTION 2 That the fee to the land in the above described vacated street right-of-way is hereby released and shall revert to the adjacent owners as provided by law SECTION 3. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed SECTION 4. Fax ~ ~ ~ j'~SZ4~ Fax « f City of Fort Worth, Texas Mayor and Council Communication DATE 8/27/02 REFERENCE NUMBER PZ-2412 LOG NAME 06VA-02-035 PAGE 1 of 1 SUBJECT ADOPTION OF ORDINANCE VACATING THE 3200 BLOCK OF HEDRICK STREET, NORTH RIVERSIDE ESTATES, FORT WORTH, TEXAS (VA-02-035) RECOMMENDATION It is recommended that the City Council adopt the attached ordinance vacating and extinguishing the 3200 block of Hedrick Street, measuring 50 feet wide by 535 feet long located in the North Riverside Estates, Fort Worth, Texas, and containing 0 6141 acres, as recorded in Volume 388-V, Page 115, of the Plat Records of Tarrant County DISCUSSION The Parks and Community Services Department, and the Fort Worth Independent School District, owners of the above described property, have requested vacation of the referenced portion of Hedrick Street. Existing improvements in this street include paving, parking, curb and gutter, and water and sanitary sewer lines. The street shall be retained as a utility easement for existing water and sanitary sewer lines unless other satisfactory arrangements are made The Engineering Department, Real Property Services Division states that a fee of $1 00 will satisfy the public interest. Reviewing City departments and public utility companies have raised no objections to this request. An acceptable replat has been provided (FS-02-068) The City Plan Commission recommended approval at its public hearing on May 22, 2002. This request is located in COUNCIL DISTRICT 4 FISCAL INFORMATION/CERTIFICATION The Finance Director certifies that this action will have no material effect on City funds.
