SUBJECT ADOPT AN ORDINANCE ALLOWING FIFTEEN ANGLE PARKING SPACES ON THE
EAST SIDE OF WESTRIDGE AVENUE AND TWELVE ANGLE PARKING SPACES ON
THE NORTH SIDE OF MILBURN STREET
RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the City Council adopt the attached ordinance allowing fifteen angle parking.
spaces on the east side of the 3500 and 3600 blocks of Westridge Avenue and twelve angle parking
spaces on the north side of the 6000 block of Milburn Street.
DISCUSSION:
Wood Partners, LLC., has requested angle parking spaces on the east side of the 3500 and 3600
blocks of Westridge Avenue and on the north side of the 6000 block of Milburn Street, known as Alta at
Ridglea Village, to serve an apartment development.
The Transportation and Public Works Department reviewed this request and recommends approval,
since these parking spaces will not disrupt the traffic flow on Westridge Avenue and Milburn Street.
The City Code prohibits new head-in/back-out parking on public rights-of-way. The attached ordinance
will permit head-in parking spaces at these locations without altering Section 22-175, "Head-in Parking
Prohibited", of the City Code.
FISCAL INFORMATION/CERTIFICATION:
The Finance Director certifies that this action will have no material effect on City funds.
