ORDINANCE NO. ' "O~~
AN ORDINANCE VACATING AND EXTINGUISHING A 5-FOOT UTILITY
EASEMENT, REMINGTON POINT ADDITION, TO THE CITY OF FORT
WORTH, TEXAS; PROVIDING FOR REVERSION OF FEE IN SAID
LAND, REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH,
AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1
THAT the 5-foot wide by 100-foot long utility easement, containing 500 square
feet, situated in Lot 12, Block 2, Remington Point Addition, as recorded in Cabinet A,
Slide 5277, Plat Records of Tarrant County, Texas, and as more specifically described
in Exhibit A attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference be and the same is
vacated and extinguished
SECTION 2.
That the fee to the land in the above described vacated utility easement is
hereby released and shall revert to the adjacent owner as provided by law
SECTION 3.
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed
SECTION 4.
That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect from and after
the date of its passage, and it is so ordained

Being a 5' x 100' Utility Easement situated in Lot 12, Block 2,
Remington Point, an Addition to fhe Crty of Fort Worth, Tarrant
County, Texas, according to the Plat recorded in Cabinet A, Slide
5227, Plat Records, Tarrant County, Texas, and being more
particularly described by metes and bounds as follows,
Beginning at 5/8" Iron rod with a plastic cap stamped Carter-
Burgess', said point being the Southwest corner of said Lot 12, and
the Northwest corner of Lot 13, Block 2, of said Remington Point,
said point also being in the East right of way line of Arabian
Avenue,
Thence South 89 deg 44 min 49 sec East, along the common line
between said Lots 12 and 13, a distance of 100 00 feet to a point
for corner, sold point being at the Southwest corner of o 10' x 10'
Transformer Pad Easement,
Thence North 00 deg 15 min 11 sec East, a distance of 5 0 feet
to a point for corner,
Thence North 89 deg 44 min 49 sec West, 5 0 feet North of and
parollel fo the South Irne of surd Lot 13, a distance of 100 DO
feet to a point for corner, said point being in the West line of
said Lot 12, and the East right of way line of said Arabian Avenue,
Thence South 00 deg 15 min 11 sec West, along the common Irne
between said Lot 12, and Arabian Avenue, a distance of 5 0 feet to
the Point of Beginning, and containing 500 square feet of land

SUBJECT VACATION OF A 5-FOOT UTILITY EASEMENT, LOT 12, BLOCK 2, REMINGTON
POINT ADDITION, FORT WORTH, TEXAS (VA-01-1019)
RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the City Council adopt the attached ordinance vacating a 5-foot by 100-foot
utility easement situated in Lot 12, Block 2, Remington Point Addition, Fort Worth, Texas, as recorded
in Cabinet A, Slide 5277, Plat Records, Tarrant County, Texas, and containing approximately 500
square feet.
DISCUSSION
R.H of Texas, L.P ,Dallas, Texas, owners of the above-described property, have requested vacation of
the utility easement to increase the buildable area of the lot. No utilities are present in the portion of the
overall easement, that is requested for vacation
The Engineering Department, Real Property Services Division states that a fee of $1 00 will satisfy the
public interest. Reviewing City departments and public utility companies have raised no objections to
this request. An acceptable replat has been received
This request is located in COUNCIL DISTRICT 7
