ORDINANCE NO. '~~vv
AN ORDINANCE VACATING AND EXTINGUISHING A PORTION OF
EAGLE MOUNTAIN DAM ROAD, LOCATED IN LOTS 1 AND 2, BLOCK
1, STRAWBERRY CREEK ESTATES, FORT WORTH, TEXAS,
PROVIDING FOR REVERSION OF FEE IN SAID LAND; REPEALING
ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HERE-WITH, AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH,
TEXAS
SECTION 1
THAT a 120-foot wide by approximately 365-foot long portion of Eagle Mountain
Dam Road, containing 43,839 square feet, located in Lots 1 and 2, Block 1, Strawberry
Creek Estates, an addition to the City of Fort Worth, Texas, and as recorded in Cabinet
A, Slide 2642, of the Plat Records of Tarrant County, Texas and as more specifically
described in Exhibit A; attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference be and the
same is vacated and extinguished
SECTION 2.
That the fee to the land in the above described vacated street right-of-way is
hereby released and shall revert to the adjacent owner as provided by law
SECTION 3.
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed
SECTION 4
That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect from and after
the date of its passage; and it is so ordained

PROPERTY DESCRIPTION
1 0064 acres of land being a portion of Lots 1 and 2, Block 1, Strawberry Creek Estates, an addition
to Tarrant County, Texas according to the plat recorded m Cabinet A, Shde 2642, Plat Records,
Tarrant County, Texas, said 1 0064 acres of land being more particulary described by metes and
bounds as follows
BEGINNING at a 1/2 inch iron rod found at the northeast corner of Lot 3, Block 1 of said addition
and the northwest corner of said Lot 2, said iron rod being in the southeasterly ROW line of Eagle
Mountain Dam Road, said iron rod also being m a curve to the left whose radius is 610 40 feet and
whose long chord bears N 47° 36' 19" E, 172 97 feet;
THENCE along said southeasterly ROW line of said road and along the northwesterly line of said
Lot 2 and along said curve to the left m a northeasterly direction through a central angle of 16° 17'
26" an arc length of 173 55 feet to a 1/2 inch iron found at the most northerly corner of said Lot 2
and the southwest corner of said Lot 1,
THENCE N 74° 23' 46" E, 286 78 feet crossing said Lot 1 to the northeast corner of this tract m the
east line of said Lot 1,
THENCE S 00° 28' 40" W, 124 89 feet along the east line of said Lot 1 to a 1/2 inch iron rod found

RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the City Council adopt the attached ordinance vacating a 120-foot wide by
approximately 365-foot long portion of Eagle Mountain Dam Road containing 43,839 square feet within
Lots 1 and 2, Block 1, Strawberry Creek Estates, an addition to the City of Fort Worth as recorded in
Cabinet A, Slide 2642, Plat Records, Tarrant County, Texas
DISCUSSION
James and Angela Garcia, and David P Johnson, owners of the above-described properties, have
requested vacation of the referenced portion of Eagle Mountain Dam Road to expand yard areas
There are no known utilities in this road reservation The City Plan Commission recommended
approval at its public hearing on May 22, 2002
The Engineering Department, Real Property Services Division states that a fee of $1 00 will satisfy the
public interest. Reviewing City departments and public utility companies have raised no objections to
this request. A replat requirement was waived
This request is located in COUNCIL DISTRICT 1
