HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance 15163WS ~~ C~ ORDINANCE NO AN ORDINANCE VACATING AND EXTINGUISHING A 25-FOOT WIDE BY 299.82-FOOT LONG UTILITY EASEMENT AND CONTAINING APPROXIMATELY 7,495 SQUARE FEET, SITUATED ACROSS LOTS 1-AR AND 2-AR, BLOCK 20, ORIGINAL TOWN OF HANDLEY, TEXAS; PROVIDING FOR REVERSION OF FEE IN SAID LAND, REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH, AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS: SECTION 1 That the 25-foot wide by 299 82-foot long utility easement, and containing approximately 7,495 square feet, situated across Lots 1-AR and 2-AR, Block 20, Original Town of Handley, Texas and as recorded in Volume 388-58, Page 491, Plat Records, Tarrant County, Texas, and as more specifically described in Exhibit A, attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, be and the same is vacated and extinguished SECTION 2. That the fee to the land in the above described vacated utility easement is hereby released and shall revert to the adjacent owner as provided by law SECTION 3 That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed SECTION 4. Texas, and containing 7,495 square feet. DISCUSSION Ron and Don Valk, owners of the above-described properties, have requested vacation of the above referenced easement to expand a building area There are no known utilities in this easement.. The Engineering Department, Real Property Services Division states that a fee of $1 00 will satisfy the public interest. Reviewing City departments and public utility companies have raised no objections to this request. A replat is not required This property is located in COUNCIL DISTRICT 5 FISCAL INFORMATION/CERTIFICATION The Finance Director certifies that this action will have no material effect on City funds.
