,: ORDINANCE NO. ~`-' ~"' '° AN ORDINANCE REPEALING ORDINANCE NUMBER 14542 AND VACATING TWO 10-FOOT BY 220-FOOT LONG UTILITY EASEMENTS LOCATED IN LOTS 5 AND 6-R, BLOCK 9RB OF EDGEWOOD TERRACE ADDITION, AND LOTS 7 AND 8-R, BLOCK 9RA, EDGEWOOD TERRACE ADDITION, AS SITUATED IN VOLUME 388-202, PAGE 24, PLAT RECORDS OF TARRANT COUNTY, TEXAS; AND VACATING A 10-FOOT BY 120-FOOT LONG DRAINAGE EASEMENT LOCATED IN LOT 14-R, BLOCK 8R, EDGEWOOD TERRACE ADDITION AS SITUATED IN VOLUME 11587, PAGE 634, DEED RECORDS, TARRANT COUNTY, TEXAS; AND CLOSING THE EAST 162 FEET OF NORRIS STREET FROM ITS EASTERLY TERMINUS OF THE EDGEWOOD TERRACE ADDITION TO THE CITY OF FORT WORTH; REVERSION OF FEE IN SAID LAND THAT IS VACATED; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS: SECTION 1 That Ordinances Number 14542 is repealed m rts entirety SECTION 2. That two 10-foot by 220-foot long utility easements located m Lots 5 and 6-R, Block 9RB located in the Edgewood Terrace Addition, and Lots 7 and 8-R, Block 9RA, located m the Edgewood Terrace Addition, as recorded m Volume 388-202, Page 24, Plat Records of Tarrant County, Texas, and a 10-foot by 120-foot long drainage easement located in Lot 14-R, Block 8R, Edgewood Terrace Addition, as recorded m Volume 11587, Page 634, Deed Records, Tarrant County, Texas, as more specifically described m attached Exhibits and incorporated herein by reference are hereby vacated and extinguished. SECTION 3. That the land m the east 162 feet of Noms Street nght-of--way from rts easterly terminus of the Edgewood Terrace Addition, as more specifically described in the attached Exhibits hereto and incorporated herein by reference ns hereby closed, with the City to retain title to the public nght-of--way, any and all easements for existing and prospective utilities, and retaining the nght of access at all times for the purpose of maintaining existing and prospective utility facilities located m the aforesaid portnons of sand street. The Cnty reserves the nght, at the sole discretnon of the Cnty Council, to reopen by resolution, the aforesaidright-of--way to public travel at any lime. SECTION 4. That the fee to the land in the above described easements are hereby released and vacated and shall revert to the adjacent owner(s) as provided by law SECTION 5. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. SECTION 6. That thus ordinance shall take effect upon adoption. The ordinance submitted to the City Secretary's Office vacates, rather than closes, the east 162 feet of Norris Street. The repeal of Ordinance No 14542 and adoption of the attached ordinance will correct this error and reflect the accurate recommendation of the Plan Commission and the action by the City Council i FISCAL INFORMATION/CERTIFICATION The Finance Director certifies that this action will have no material effect on City funds.
