AN ORDINANCE VACATING AND EXTINGUISHING A PORTION OF
THE 1600 BLOCK OF 36th STREET, MEASURING 60 FEET WIDE BY
26.5 FEET LONG, LOCATED IN AIRPORT ACRES ADDITION, FORT
WORTH, TEXAS, PROVIDING FOR REVERSION OF FEE IN SAID
LAND; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HERE-WITH;
AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
THAT a portion of the 1600 block of Townsend, measuring 60 feet wide by 26.5
feet long, located in Airport Acres Addition, City of Fort Worth, Texas, and containing
1590 square feet, and as recorded in Volume 1792, Page 91, of the Deeds Records of
Tarrant County, Texas, and as more specifically described in Exhibit A, attached hereto
and incorporated herein by reference be and the same is vacated and extinguished
SECTION 2.
That the fee to the land in the above described vacated street right-of-way is
hereby released and shall revert to the adjacent owners as provided by law
SECTION 3.
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed
SECTION 4.
That this ordinance shall take effect upon adoption

DESCRIPTION OF STREET PROPOSED FOR VACATION
SITUATED in the City of Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas, and being a portion of Northwest 36th Street,
as shown on plat of Airport Acres, as shown on plat thereof recorded in Volume 1792, Page 91, of the
Tarrant County Deed Records, and said portion being more fully described as follows:
BEGINNING at the northwest corner of Block 7 in said Airport Acres at the southwest corner of said
Northwest 36th Street in the east line of that certain tract in the John Ringer Survey, Abstract No 1939,
conveyed to Jose Antonio Torres and wife Consuelo and Martin Fabian and wife Lorena by deed
recorded in Volume 14921, Page 325, of said Deed Records;
THENCE North with the west end of said Northwest 36th street and with said east line of Torres and
Fabian tract, 60 feet to the northwest corner of said Street and the southwest corner of Lot 1, Block 1,
of said Airport Acres;
THENCE East with the north line of said Northwest 36th Street and the south line of said Lot 1, 26.5 feet;
THENCE South, crossing said Northwest 36th Street, b0.0 feet to a point in the south line of said Street
and the north line of said Block 7,
THENCE West with said south line of Northwest 36th Street and said north line of Block 7, 26.5 feet to the
PLACE OF BEGINNING, and containing 1590 square feet (0.0365 acre)

SUBJECT STREET VACATION PORTION OF 36TH STREET, IN THE 1600 BLOCK OF 36TH
STREET, AIRPORT ACRES ADDITION, FORT WORTH, TEXAS (VA-02-002)
RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the City Council adopt the attached ordinance vacating a 60-foot wide by 26 5-
feet long portion of 36th Street, in the 1600 Block of 36th Street, Airport Acres Addition, as shown on
the plat recorded in Volume 1792, Page 91 of the Tarrant County Deed Records, and containing 1,590
square feet.
DISCUSSION
Lienzo Valentin Martinez, owner of the adjacent properties, has requested vacation of the above
referenced street portion to replat with the adjoining land The existing improvements include fences/
walls and sewer lines The said street portion shall be retained as a utility easement for existing water
and sanitary sewer lines.
The City Plan Commission recommended approval at it's public hearing on January 23, 2002. The
Engineering Department, Real Property Services Division states that a fee of $1 00 will satisfy the
public interest. The reviewing City departments and public utility companies have raised no objections
to this request. An acceptable replat has been provided (FS-002-005)
This request is located in COUNCIL DISTRICT 2.
