ORDINANCE NO. /~I AN ORDINANCE VACATING AND EXTINGUISHING THE 4000 BLOCK OF HALLORAN STREET AND A 16-FOOT WIDE BY 1000-FOOT LONG ALLEY, LOCATED WITHIN BLOCKS 81 AND 368, CHAMBERLAIN ARLINGTON HEIGHTS ADDITION, FORT WORTH, TEXAS, PROVIDING FOR REVERSION OF FEE IN SAID LAND; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HERE-WITH; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS' SECTION 1 THAT the 4000 block of Halloran Street, Chamberlin Arlington Heights Addition, 60-foot wide by 266-foot long and containing 15,960 square feet, and a 16-foot wide by 1000-foot long alley located within Blocks 81 and 368, Chamberlin Arlington Heights Addition, an addition to the City of Fort Worth, Texas, and containing 16,000 square feet, and as recorded in Volume 63, Page 43, of the Plat Records of Tarrant County, Texas and as more specifically described in Exhibit A, attached hereto and incorporated .herein by reference be and the same is vacated and extinguished SECTION 2. That the fee to the land in the above described vacated street right-of-way and alley is hereby released and shall revert to the adjacent owner as provided by law SECTION 3. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed SECTION 4. DISCUSSION The Fort Worth Independent School District, owner of the above-described properties, has requested vacation of the above referenced street portion and alleys to get existing improvements clear of street and alleys Said street and alley shall be retained as utility easement for existing water and sanitary lines unless other satisfactory arrangements are made The City Plan Commission recommended approval at it's public hearing on May 5, 2002. The Engineering Department, Real Property Services Division states that a fee of $1 00 will satisfy the public interest. Reviewing City departments and public utility companies have raised no objections to this request.
