ORDINANCE NO ~~ ~~ AN ORDINANCE VACATING AND EXTINGUISHING A 10-FOOT WIDE BY 375-FOOT LONG UTILITY EASEMENT LOCATED WITHIN TRACT R-1, FIELD WELCH ADDITION, FORT WORTH, TEXAS, AND CONTAINING APPROXIMATELY 0.086 ACRES, AND A 30-FOOT WIDE BY 194-FOOT LANG UTILITY EASEMENT LOCATED WITHIN TRACT R-1, FIELD WELCH ADDITION, FORT WORTH, TEXAS, AND CONTAINING APPROXIMATELY 0.134 ACRES, PROVIDING FOIR REVERSION OF FEE IN SAID LAND, REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH, AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF 'THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS. SECTION 1. That a 10-foot wide by 375-foot long utility easement located in Tract R-1, of Field Welch Addition, an addition to the City of Fort Worth, Texas, containing approximately 0 086 acres, and as recorded in Volume 388-78, Page 50, Plat Records, Tarrant County, Texas, and a 30-foot wide by 194-foot long utility easement located in Tract R-1, of Field Welch Addition, an addition to the City of Fort Worth, Texas, containing approximately 0 134 acres, and as recorded in Volume 388-78, Page 50, Plat Records, Tarrant County, Texas, and as more specifically described in Exhibit A, attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, be and the same is vacated and extinguished SECTION 2 That the fee to the land in the above described vacated utility easements is hereby released and shall revert to the adjacent owner as provided by law SECTION 3. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed SECTION 4. PAGE 1.2/17/02 PZ-2445 06VA-02-028 1 of 1 suB.lECT UTILITY EASEMENTS VACATION TRIMBLE TECH HIGH SCHOOL, TRACT R-1, FIELDS WELCH ADDITION, FORT WORTH, TEXAS (VA-02-028) RECOMMENDATION It is recommended that the City Council adopt the attached ordinance vacating the following utility easements • A 10-foot wide by 375 feet long utility easement in tract R-1, Field Welch Addition, as recorded in Volume 388-78, Page 50, Plats Records, Tarrant County, Texas, and containing 0 086 acres of land, and • A 30-foot wide by 194 feet long utility easement in tract R-1, Field Welch Addition, as recorded in Volume 388-78, Page 50, Plats Records, Tarrant County, Texas, and containing 0 134 acres of land DISCUSSION The Fort Worth independent School District, owner of the above-described properties, has requested vacation of the above referenced utility easements to expand their building area The Engineering Department, Real Property Services Division states that a fee of $1 00 will satisfy the public interest. Reviewing City departments and public utility companies have raised no objections to this request.
